What a great playthrough! This game looks so amazing and it is so fun to get to tag along with y'all playing it while I can't get gamers together. Two mistakes you should look at: At 2:56:56 you are trying to decide what gold you get for completing missions. The rules you are looking at say that the alignment icon associated with the mission tells you how to modify your alignment, and the City-State tied to the mission indicates your reward. So you only get the extra gold when the mission is from a City-State (the pile you drew it from) that matches your alignment. At 6:09:36 You were supposed to play the Soaring City Discovery after you complete the mission. Again. Thanks for the wonderful content and see you tomorrow for more Hexploration!

Awesome playthrough! Thanks Rob and Mel! A thing or two to mention, Purity ribbon Power Ups does not double the bonus, it just increases the numeric value by 1 (p.70). At 6:14:41, you rolled your skills when you entered Phorora, but according to the rulebook on p.26: “If you end Movement in a City-State, skip the Skill phase.” The placard says nothing about it. (Later, p.33, it says that you also skip the Skill Phase when you stay in a City-State). Just ideas thrown out here: There is an awesome and cheap item you can buy in Nemsynet called the Weighted Dice. It only costs 8 gold and allows you, once per turn, outside of combat, to reroll any die. Since you will roll a lot of Stat Tests (Missions, Caravan Events, etc.), it can be helpful to avoid fails (or having more chances to gain Glory points for the Champion), and it also allows you to reroll the circumstance die if needed (and maybe, it can be used in the Arena to improve your chances of success). If you plan to kill the Ravager, then it would be nice to power up your heroes by fighting bosses (maybe up to level 4 or more?), running in the Wastes picking up the Power Ups you left on the remnants (plus if you buy the Extraction Tools you can collect a lot of Ravager Crystals, and you can buff up a character with lots of mutations at the expense of your Energy pool). And with enough gold, in Nemsynet, you can buy Gear Upgrades for Attack. But whatever you do, I’m sure it will be epic! Good luck and have fun for the next part of your adventures! To add even more on, they are building a full campaign for each Vol. The first vol campaign is called Klik's Madness and the first 2 chapters are available for download to the most recent KS backers. So far its 220+ pages of story, images, and decisions. Next KS they should have it in a physical book. Would be great to see you play the campaign.

Just wanted you to know, first off I loved the playthrough and plan on watching all of them as they are excellent, and second, I purchased the newest volume (4) bc of this video. Some of the original D4's had the number on the bottom edge so as it was laying on the table. Either way it is the number that is legible. In the roleplaying community they are also called caltrops.

You are using the box right, but I think the box forces you to lay the boards down so they do not bend with longer term storage. When choosing the role, take out the small box and stand them up, then pick your role. But I think those larger boards would bend under their own weight if stored standing longer term.

How does the Hexplore series compare with Euthia? I've played Vol.1 and Vol.2 once each and I've got Euthia backed on Kickstarter so wondering how similar they are.

Can you show me where in the rules it says you can purchase food from a caravan master in between caravan events? I know you can buy before you set off, but I don't see anything in the rules that says you can buy in between events. I always thought it was sort of a calculated gamble on how much food to buy before taking off right? Or am I missing that rule somewhere?

A bit late but in some volumes you are given starting gold to buy food and equipment. Especially food because you can die of starvation.

So some cards have rounded corners and others don't? How does that work?

I don't remember even noticing this before now. I assume the different decks and card types were made from different manufacturers. All the cards in each individual deck have the same corners. I think I never noticed because every card just lays on the table for information. Now I will never unsee this. Thanks Joost! :P

I wanted to get into Hexploreit. However, I bought this one first. I hope it wasn't a mistake, but what the hell. It's only a game. If I mess up during play, who cares. It's not like I would be breaking any law. As long as I have fun, who cares about mistakes. I'll figure them out and avoid that same mistake next time.
