My first time watching this movie I cried for about 45 minutes straight. I was about 25 years old, male. It wasn't bawling tears, crying my eyes out or anything. But they wouldn't stop coming. Like a sad but beauty at the same time. No movie has ever came close to doing such. When anyone wants to talk sad movies, I always throw in Hachi.

I was shown this movie by my boyfriend when I was a teen. He already watched it and fell asleep mid movie. Thank goodness because I was a sobbing mess. It broke me like no other movie did before. I still sob by the first few piano notes I hear because I know how it ends. There's nothing more pure than a dog's love for their owner ❤

My husband has been blessed with bonding with two dogs in his life to date. The bonds were so strong that I had to physically take them outside to the bathroom as neither one would leave his side when he was sick in bed. They refused food and water as well unless I brought the bowls to his bed. Unfortunately one has passed and the other one is still with us. She's old now but still remains faithfully beside him.

I've never seen the whole movie, just a couple of reactions from other channels I follow. But it brings me to tears. I'm a wreck right now watching this. I wish I can go to Japan and visit the Hachi statue. My foster parents had a couple of really nice dogs when I was growing up. I loved them. When Casey passed from an accident, I was devastated. He was a beautiful German Shepard/Husky cross, and only a few years old at the time. That was more than 30 years ago now, but I'd still love nothing more than to have him again by my side.

Puppy breath is the best smell on the planet. Old Yeller is a lovely story and a classic Disney film. Movies about dogs are almost always wonderful and sad. The dog almost always dies at the end. Dogs teach us how to grieve.I have nothing against cats, I've just never had one. This film is directed by Lasse Halstrom, a Swedish director. He directed some Abba videos, but also directed What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Chocolat, My Life As A Dog and A Dog's Purpose (Apparently he really likes dogs.) and his first name sounds like Lassie. My dog Rufus is a very active dog, but he doesn't play fetch. He watches the person throw the ball and then says "Cool".

Me, had 2 cats adopted a 3rd. Noah & NeeHi siblings, last year 2022 I woke up to 16yr old Noah not being able to walk took him to the Vet, needless to say I returned home without him. The 1st day Neehi didn't trip but the 2nd day she started going from room to room looking for him and started to 'cry'. She cried EVERY DAY for a year. Didn't matter how much time I spent with her, she'd cried, she stopped using her litter box, did all kinds of things, bought a new box maybe she couldn't climb into her old one, laid doggie pee pee pads down in front of the litter box, then she stopped eating would just lay on her bed, still would cry from time to time. Took her to the Vet, the attendant looked into the carrier, immediately took her to an exam room. Came back to the waiting room and said NeeHi had passed. Guys, sometime between home (still alive) and the doctor she joined her brother this year 2023, almost a year to the day. Noah had passed in January NeeHi a year later in February, she was 17. And yes I had them since they were 3 months old. I miss my little fuzzballs. Seeing this movie with you guys today brought the tears. NeeHi, missing her brother, I really believe, died of a broken heart.💔😥

One of my all time favorite singers wrote a song inspired by the story of Hachi. She wrote it before this movie was made, but I think the movie was already being made by the time she released the song. She's from the US but as a teen got signed on to a S.Korean company. So in her travels as a kpop singer they visited Japan & she heard the story, & having dogs of her own that she loved she got inspired to write a heartfelt song about the true & loyal love dogs have. It's in Korean & English mixed. It's called Love Run by Amber Liu. No official video, only a couple of fan made vids, but very pretty.

0:51 Amber, you absolutely MUST arrange a screening of OLD YELLER (1957) for Jay & yourself sometime soon. I completely adored that film when I was a boy, and Jay will really love it. It’s one of the best Walt Disney live action movies made when Walt was still alive! Your kids will love it too!

"Kavik the Wolf Dog" is an excellent book that I read as a kid in the early 90s. I re-read it in my 30s and was surprised it's actually an excellent read for adults too. The husky in the story travels hundreds of miles to be reunited with a boy that cared for him. Spoiler alert: he barely survives, multiple times.

This is one of my favourite movies, though not one I can watch a lot, purely for the amount of tears I cry each time. If you want another beautiful dog movie, one that has a lot of heart as well as a lot of laughs, check out the Australian film ‘Red Dog’. I’ve included the trailer below. I’m sure you’ll both love it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYWoqZyNr9t9otEsi=3qeZDjWrnAHDeLZF

People that don’t like cats never raised one. How would you feel if I said I hate kids? It’s not very nice or with the theme of your channels to spread hate for a creature literally hundreds of millions of people love. Just sayin. No hate please. World got enough of it already.

If you loved this movie please react to Togo! Togo is based on another true dog story set in the winter of 1925 of champion dogsled trainer Leonhard Seppala and his lead sled dog, Togo. Together, they embark on an adventure across the treacherous terrain of Alaska to transport medicine to a small town. You guys would absolutely love it because its such a heartfelt story like this one

Like the man said it's got to be a purpose why the dog will fetch. And he knew what was wrong with him. he could smell it. Dogs have a better sense on things than us humans before we know things it's too late to do anything about it. Now another good dog movie I'd like to see on the channel is Beethoven 1992. Or this is also. Shiloh 1996.
