My Mom just passed away on September 4th, and as a 12 year old in 1971, listened to this song over and over on the radio. Brings back memories of my playing football, basketball and baseball with the neighborhood kids in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY. Mom would make sure to call me up for supper. Oh how I miss those days, and how I miss Mommy. 😢

That's one of my favorite songs of theirs and that is true of an awful lot of people my age. Can't tell you how many times I've been in a group just singing this beautifully around a campfire or on a front porch Jam or camping or something. Or at a park where people show up and have a little party. Another one in this direction that I think you guys would really love, another ballad that really shows his voice off at least as much, in fact I think it's more emotional, and it's from that same era more or less, and it's called, Angie.

Interestingly enough, this song was initially released by The Flying Burrito Brothers in 1970, one year before it appeared on The Stones' album Sticky Fingers. Also - I have recommended The Sundays for Female Friday multiple times, and they did a really beautiful cover of "Wild Horses". I hope you will do them on FF soon, especially their songs "Here's Where the Story Ends", "Goodbye", and "Summertime". Harriet Wheeler's voice is just gorgeous.

Apparently gram parsons was hanging with Keith and heard him play this. he asked Keith if he could record it with “The Burrito Bros” and Keith gave him his blessing. Their version with Sneeky Pete Klinow on steel guitar is also a great version. Funny enough ….and I say this not as a fan of hers….Susan Boyle does a nice cover version

Wow, what a stunning version of Wild Horses. Thanks for picking this version for your reaction video. This is a recording for the album "Stripped" when many prominent musicians recorded "unplugged" with MTV, but the Stones were not asked to do so. Well they made their own thing out of it and they called it "Stripped" and yes it was much appreciated and it was fucking great. The whole album was full of surprises with their old songs. Stripped is an album where all the parts are really good and a lot of them were recorded live in Amsterdam. It's worth commenting on this - at least I would be happy and it would also be a great respect to Carlie Watts who supported the Stones from time immemorial although he was more of a jazz drummer. Best wishes @all from hamburg (germany)

Nice song. This was remade years later by other artists such as The Sundays, Garth Brooks, Natasha Bedingfield, Susan Boyle, Bishop Briggs, Alicia Keyes ft. Adam Levine. I'm not sure if you have reacted to their 1980 hit "Emotional Rescue." If you haven't, I suggest you give it a go. Patreon Movie Suggestions: Candyman (1992) with Virginia Madsen and Tony Todd (perfect for Halloween), Cannery Row (1982) with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger, Can't Buy Me Love (1987) with Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson.

I was just a typical 70s teenager cruising around every night looking for something to do in the small community I lived in. Tunes would be cranked and often were the first Rolling Stones album (cassettes actually) I owned which was their Hot Rocks 1964 - 1971 double album. This was the last song on the album and I loved it. As it was a compilation double album, I recommend all the songs on that album. (You've done a couple already.) As Tears Go By, Get Off of my Cloud, Ruby Tuesday, Let's Spend the Night Together, Sympathy for the Devil, & Honky Tonk Women are a few from this album that I would also recommend. Angie from their Goat's Head Soup album is worth checking out as well. Never got into listening to any Stones music/albums after the mid-70's though.. too many bands, too little time I guess. :)

The talent on display here is second to none, including the Beatles! One of their best ever power ballads is "Angie", featured on their 1973 album Goats Head Soup, which hit NO.1 all over the world. Written almost entirely by Keith Richards, it is a very different sound for them, with Mick Jagger's voice on full display! It will send chills up your spine & bring a tear to your eye. I think the Official Promo (version 2) is the very best.

You’re probably not gonna read this comment but hopefully you do. This song was written by Keith Richards & Gram Parsons. Gram died very young in the ‘70s & to this day is an almost forgotten, under appreciated legend. He helped start Emmylou Harris’ career. He practically created a whole new genre of music that was a mix of pure country & pure rock. So many great songs from his short career I won’t even list them. I will say that HIS version of Wild Horses is definitely my favorite version though.
