Joan Jett has a level of badassery that is tough to match. Very few females bring the hardness the way she does. Heart, Melissa Etheridge and Pat Benatar are some great examples that y'all listed. I was in 8th grade when this came out, and it was very risqué for the time period. My friends and I wanted to perform it at the talent show, but we knew better than to try to get away with that. 😆 Excellent reaction.

But I have singles, albums from the 70's and CDs of the Bay City Rollers. Great stuff, thanks for sharing! Great tune, she definitely rocked back in her heyday. Interesting fact: She took the stage name “Joan Jett” from a Muddy Waters song called “Bad Reputation.” It was suggested to her by drummer Sandy West, who thought it would fit well with the edgier punk rock sound she had been working on. She chose this particular moniker because it fit with what she saw as a rebellious nature of hers. So many people already knew her as “Joanie,” which some members of The Runaways, her former band, called her.
