Sad to say, I saw their tour in the early-mid 80s. It was Joe and Glenn. Before Joe got sober. He was a mess. Fell off a stool, couldn’t recall the lyrics, mumbled through most songs etc. So happy he got sober and is doing well.

I worked at a record store in high school in Chicago. Every tuesday it was my job to unpack & label every new album. I saw the picture of them on their choppers & thought" I have no Idea who they are but just because of the cover I'm buying this!" That was something I hadn't done before. Cranked it up on the stores sound system & this was the first song I ever heard of theirs. Man! We got in 25 copies & half were sold to us employees before we even opened.

Joe said he had only had put his band together a few weeks prior and i noticed a couple of members were from Ray Wyle's band. Seemed odd but i later found out that Ringo had played Ray Wyle's song Snake Farm to Joe and he called Mr. Hubbard wanting to know what Amp he used for his guitar on Snake Farm and that led to them becoming friends and touring for a little bit.

This song was an improvisation in the studio. An example of Joe's incredible abilities

Attended an outside wedding reception with a stage setup. They invited anyone with a guitar to come up and jam. The whole front of the stage was lined with players and this was the song they jammed to. Try The Bomber or Walk Away by the guys.

Kickin' jam for 3 guys. Everything Joe Walsh did was gold. Saw him once in concert, def in my top 10 shows EVER. The Eagles got better imo when he joined them. He also did some great guitar work for Dan Fogelberg, an artist who i think Amber would really like.

Remember Joe Walsh was in the Eagles...along with Glen Fry and Don Henley. Henley is the one you haven't heard and he's the singing drummer and the soul of the Eagles. His solo work is awesome. "All She Wants To Do is Dance", " Sunset Grill", "Boys of Summer" and more!!!

You always make me smile with every discovery of a new artist, band, or song! Got one for FEMALE FRIDAY from the late 70s: Chrissie Hynde, lead singer and primary song-writer for the Pretenders. I recommend this later live performance (she's in her 50s here) with a surprise for Amber near the end. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5q6kIF_btinppo

First like to say happy for your team win yesterday. I am a die hard Chiefs fan . I will be rooting for your team at the super bowl. This song brings back the 70's so much for me. Love the instrumentals and the raspy voice.

Saw them a few months back, when the tour resumed. They are still incredible. It was a great concert and to see the entire "Hotel California" album performed live, then their other hits was such a treat!

Can't go wrong with Joe! Btw, I work with a designer/artist and I asked him to create something special for J. You are a bigger Bengals fan than we are and we live in Ohio, lol. I'm hoping to get it to you before Super Bowl Sunday. Fingers crossed. Great reaction as always!

Love Joe Walsh: funny guy, humble, great guitar player. I love the flubbed note in the intro. My guitar instructor taught me this as my first song learned.

Have seen James Gang w/Joe Walsh several times; one of those in an outdoor cow pasture( Woodstock style) amphitheater. ...another in a small 2000 seat indoor concert( "YES' was the other band) . These were in '73 and '73. Love 'em!
