I consider the addition of Camellia's songs as very significant for a section of the community, since they're absolutely incredible. The implication that there is more to come means further good and exiting news. After all, music is pretty much the second half of what makes this game special, so this feature cannot be understated.

I'm one of the people who thought it didn't need a premiere, but the premiere was scheduled less than 24 hr before it was posted, while "big" things are scheduled days in advance. People also figured out that the premiere was 30 seconds long as soon as it was scheduled, and the discord server didn't get any pings. I definitely think the community just got way too excited. edit: okay nvm the discord server got 1 ping for the news notification, not even everyone. Like, come on.

I'm genuenly upset at the amount of people who genuenly didn't care about getting Camellia/CAMETEK into GD, we got 180+ non Newground songs, and come on, It's Camellia we are talking about, you know, This guys IS the text book definiton of Rhythm Game music, any respectable rhythm game has atleast 3 camelia songs that everybody in the community of said game knows about (Osu!, Beat Saber, SDVX, Stepmania, HELL EVEN ROBLOX AND FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN HAVE CAMELLIA SONGS), and usually most of those games get 10-15 song tops, WE GOT 180+ SONGS PEOPLE! Or maybe, the GD community doesn't know who Camellia is and why this is actually kinda of a big deal? either way I'm really hyped that this was the first of this new wave artists pack we are getting into the game, there was literally no better way to start it, I just hope we are getting more of this into the game sooner rather than later!

I'll be really honest, I did not care about the video before it was premiered. But when I checked the video to see what was up, I was surprised. Camellia on GD?! Now we're talking! The hype was absolutely necessary. Camellia songs will enable a whole genre of high energy levels with gameplay full of energy never seen before. It also means Cicada 3302 can be updated to officially include the song and get rated. Same goes for Flamewall if that level comes out some day. People getting disappointed by that are just needy.
