2.21 is just a full 2.2 that we thought would come out. i think a year from today is the release date of 2.21 and maybe then 2.3? but it’s impossible for him to do this all alone, too much stuff. he really should hire more devs and become game director or visioner instead of doing the hard work

Sometimes I feel like RobTop is losing brain cells because he is doing a lot of work, that's why sometimes he add some features that cause controversies in the community that can be solved in a very simple way, or releasing a big updates with some obvious bugs, that's why he need a team to help him, this is just my opinion. I understand where you’re coming from, but you have to look at it like this: The wait for 2.2 felt so grueling because the 2.1 editor was so limited compared to 2.2, and we knew almost everything about the update so it felt just out of reach. I really think that most people would be fine waiting 1-2 years for 2.3 since the 2.2 editor has almost NO limitations. Think about early 2.1 (fingerdash style, good old days) when hardly any of the updates potential had been discovered yet, we probably have so much more of that for 2.2 up ahead if 2.3 takes forever

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but didn't we see similar stuff when 2.1 released? That 2.2 wasn't going to be a big update, that it wouldn't take too long? At the time, the wait for 2.1 was kind of long, compared to every other wait before that at least, so iirc the same was said for 2.2 and look how that turned out

I think the editor is almost perfect and just needs like some advanced touch trigger that lets you detect when you click an object so we can have custom buttons

I’m pretty sure 2.3 will take a really long time as well as 2.2 did because Rob would run out of ideas. There’s too much stuff already, but we do need more stuff at least. Like we need the Diamonds bug to be fixed (basically when you search up someone on GD it shows they have zero diamonds until you click their name) and basically yea. But I have a few ideas for the game though but idk if rob would ever implement them Edit: Edit (for real): Rob could add Spotify songs just like they did with newgrounds which opens for new opportunities

I think this time, Rob says the truth (I guess). Rob added a new game type (Platformer) and he makes sure that there are no bugs while playing it in 2.2 so, that's why the update take 6 years. I think..., update 2.3 adds a new features, new things in the editor and 4 new platformer levels and a classic level (Explorers I guess). So that doesn't take 1 year (I guess) Note: This is all my opinion, I don't know what actually might happen in the future
