@ the fact J Cole is rapping as if he was the innocent bystander watching the beef slowly brew up until the boiling point we all witnessed, thats not the case, he been sneak dissing, he was the first one to reply with a diss which by the way was him being the one trying to make the beef something that it wasnt, all Kendrick said was fuck the big three, and Cole talking about some well fuck your albums and TPAB is boring (which For your eyes only) was his attempt at creating a TPAB, he watched people trash his diss because of the album thing, apologized, which was fake and soooo dramatic for no reason, and yeah thats about it, not to mention he hopped on the second We Dont Trust You album with fucking Rocky, and now he’s all of a sudden Michael Jackson in red leather tryna tell em to stop before the heavy metal get popped? He’s rewriting the entire narrative in the most passive aggressive way possible….. that descriptive enough bro?

@@Thisguy352 Kendrick been sneak dissing too, last time he made a diss open was Control which everybody except Drake just saw as a moment of respect, not really a challenge. Everybody knew if Cole responded he would be the first one to do so, thats just the way Cole is and his pen is better than Drakes, however another reason for the quickened reply was the pressure from everybody, his whole crew except JiD was seemingly pushing him to respond even though he wanted to let it slide, he made a mistake and gave in, made a diss that a teen would with more misses than hit bars. He saw that people knew he wasn’t in it, and backed out which he thought makes him neutral, he wasn’t bond to Drake and that verse on We Still Don’t Trust You is older than it looks, Cole cleared it because, in his mind, he has no side anymore, and is able to like both Drake and Kendrick but people didn’t see it that way so they built a narrative that he switched up. And hes right to tell them to chill out when Top 5 was openly making threats, and Drake instead of telling him to back down was hyping him up to act on what he said. I get the anger but a lot of people don’t seem to understand J Coles thought process. Whether you agree with the way he moves or you think he could have handled it in a better way is different, I won’t get into that. Im just explaining why Cole acted the way he did.

@@Thisguy352 Kendrick been sneak dissing too, last time he was open about disses was Control which everybody except Drake saw as a moment of respect, not a real challenge. Everybody knew if Cole was going to respond he’d be the first one to, thats just the way he is and his pen is better than Drakes. Not to mention that his whole crew except JiD was seemingly pushing him to clap back even though he wanted to let it slide, however I will say thats where he made a mistake and gave in, writing a diss that a teenager would write with more misses than hit bars. He saw people knew it wasn’t how he felt and he decided its better to come clean, that, and SchoolboyQ apparently gave him intel about whats to come. Now that We Still Don’t Trust you verse is older than we think and the reason Cole still cleared it is, because in his mind, he had no side anymore, he was out the battle and he thought he could collab with anyone, but people were like “ Cole switched up “ which clearly ain’t true. He had the right to tell them to chill and keep things on wax, have you heard of the whole Top 5 situation and what he was saying while being backed up by Drake instead of Drake telling him to calm down? I understand the anger but a lot of people aren’t trying to put themselves in Coles shoes to see his thought process, try to understand before you bash someone. Whether you think Cole could have handled things better is a different topic, im just explaining Coles thought process and why (to him at least) what he did made sense. Thats why he spoke as a “bystander” in this track.

So you really attempting to say kendrick raised the bar for j cole? Did he raise the bar for uninspired lazy ass rappers?? Yes of course he did. Did he inspire some of the younger cats to step up their pen game? Yes of course. Saying he inspired j cole as if cole aint the one who been inspiring everyone for the last 5 years is so fucking wild and straight ignorant. I love both these rappers equally but before this beef, kendrick has given us 1 album after Damn. Thats now 7 years bro while also doing 0 features. Now everyone has the right to create art at their own pace, especially when we talking a certified goat in kendrick. But lil man you better understand that Cole been out here killing EVERYTHING for years!!! Cole been crowned the feature KING. Cole gave us the off season and just gave us Might Delete This Later. How tf has kendrick inspired him??? nah bruh u are fucking clowning by saying that shit. Now im sure cole has been inspired by the situation (the beef) to remind everyone who the fuck he really is but saying it like Cole should be inspired by the 5 songs kendrick gave us in the last 2 years is outta pocket, outta touch, and ignorant as fuck. Learn something nephew.

This song confirmed that we listen with biased ears for real. I love Cole and this fire is crazy, BUT we ain't about to ignore Cole part in all this. This fence riding is some BS and higher moral compass pointing finger is some BS as well. There is footage well Cole has after finger wagging has admitted he was being a hater with some of his bad behavior. So we not gonna sit here and act live Cole is incapable of doing and saying shady shiiiii. But I get it, it's too hard to know your guy didn't stand on business and still straddling the fence. Don't take away his skills, but his movement....naaawwww. Ya'll got blinders on

So for the last 10ish yrs, Cole aint been taking shots and subs at people for the top spot? What did he think was going to happen after you keep kicking the wasps nest? Its not a bad record but, to not take accountability and act like this was all thrown you, and to blame everyone else for wanting to see the hype you helped build dont work for me. Then to give Dot a back handed compliment, and to praise Drake knowing hes been taking shots at you just sounds strange.

@@Chi-KingTChalla at the end of the day, it's always about the top spot. Aside from the Dot and Drake issues, there has always been this sub of who's the best, and Cole was right there talking about he would murder your favorite rapper. Cole talks like he was blindsided by all of this and like he didn't make 7MD. Even though he apologized for it, once it's out there it's out there. Cole ain't no dummy..I'm sure he saw how horrible that diss record was received. Rob, I think you need to re-listen to the song a few times and really hear a crap ton of contradictions in that second verse. Loving the talent of someone also means holding them accountable for their own part to play in this beef. He was no innocent bystander and largely ignores that he wrote 7min drill. It’s one thing to have a bar or two on a song, but it’s a whole other to have a song dedicated and is a diss. He initiated the showdown. He is reframing the events that happens and trying to make it seem like it was less than what it really was, which was that he wasn’t ready to do what it takes to go for the crown and the batter became a moment for the other two goats. We accepted his stepping down, but don’t make it seem like he wasn’t in it for the same thing. He stepped in the ring, threw the first punch then raised the white flag. He doesn’t get to take the holier than thou approach
