She knew and then later in Season 18 tried to say that she did nothing wrong. She knew at the time it was wrong, did it anyway, and then spent years justifying it in her mind such that she talked herself into believing a different reality, or at least pretended she believed she didn't do anything wrong. That's her M.O.

Agreed!! Just lie after lie after lie out of robbing Robyn’s mouth…. Just can’t believe a words she says!!!! From the beginning, Robyn was deceitful, manipulative, calculating ….. etc etc etc…. The wedding dress. The kiss before marriage, kissing Robyn while Christine is in hospital in labor, kids needing food and Kody spending money on Robyn & her kids

EVERYTHING about their relationship was a secret - from how they really met, to Kody & Robyn actually dating, to what they were doing during those weekend trips that Robyn just HAD to have - and then the wedding dress - and pretty sure the cake testing. Always the secrets or just wanting to “keep it between themselves” - think their “paperwork only” wedding or her pregnancy with Sol - they knew for a while before telling anyone else. The two of them have been functioning, not as polygamists, but as a monogamous couple in a really big family.

I feel like no one talks about how Robyn said in an episode that she didn’t take a single wedding photo with just her and Kody alone, but there are many photos of just the two of them that day online… so what is that if not an outright lie?

Kody knew it would upset Christine but he didn't realize how much it would upset her. He seemed genuinely surprised when she got up from the couch and ended the filming. This showed how little he cared about Christine and how much he cared about Robyn. Janelle and Meri didn't feel that deeply about this incident but they cared. I think they were more upset with Robyn than with Kody.

Yes, it hurt C so much more than M or J. I think J has had a long history of rewriting the family dynamics in her own head and Meri looked like she was hurt but maybe still feeling like she had a special place in K’s life. She didn’t but she kept telling herself she did.

​@@muriel5826I think of the OG3, Janelle butted heads the least with Kody because she pushed back the least. She acted like she was unbothered a lot of times while Christine and Meri were being more emotional. Christine was the most vocal and tried to hold him accountable and he hated that.

Remember in one of the later episodes...maybe after Christine left & Kody & Robyn were overboard running Christine down, Robyn spoke of first coming into the family that Christine was always trying to teach Robyn the rules of the family....Robyn seemed to resent it. Robyn didn't want to hear the rules the OG3 had developed to get along with one another peacefully. Robyn just didn't care about the rules. She had Kody panting after her & she knew he'd back her whatever she did.❤❤❤

Yup. Robyn just wanted Kody and not the rest of the family. For years, most of the show centred around Meri, Christine and Janelle and their kids. Robyn and her kids were not seen as much. She clearly expected the others to actually work while she would spend the money.

The channel growing up in polygamy needs to see this. According to them they don't understand why people have such a disgust for Robyn. They understand kodys a piece of work and none of them are perfect. But they are on season 15-16 and don't understand the hate for Robyn.

Yeah, my mom's that way too. I realized it's because she takes people at their word. If you just listen to what Robyn says, at least until the last season or so, she mostly says the right thing. You have to look at her actions vs her words to really realize the issue with her. When I started pointing out that Robyn didn't work & had a nanny and a gigantic house while Janelle was in a camper/ apartment, ect she finally realized Robyn is lying about not being the favorite.

He grew up in polygamy and even though he's left, that still wires your brain. Not to be mean, but he doesn't seem like he's mentally at 100%. Which could be from all the inbreeding in his former cult. Again, not being mean to him at all. He can't control his beginnings. His wife...she was raised in mainstream Mormonism and they can also be very sheltered and not able to think critically and pick up on cues the rest of us do. It's like they have no social or situational awareness. No hate. It's just something I've noticed.

This is my thoughts on this Ķody Robyn thing. I believe Robyn set her sights on Kody and did all she could to wrap him up when she heard about the show possibility. And Kody sold him getting a new wife to TLÇ and the OG3 for good tv and sealing the deal for big money. They have been dishonest from the start 😅.

Wedding dress showed the politics involved in their group relationship. Power plays. Manipulation.How they treated each other. Who could get away with what. There was a reason Kody boasted. There was a reason Christine cried. There was a reason Robyn felt judged. The people who break boundaries broke another boundary. It showed this was Kody’s fresh start being a father and husband.

If she went along with his idea to please him, then why would she tell the other wives? That would be hurtful and unnecessary. I’m not condoning what they did. Just saying that since they DID go shopping alone, they should have kept their mouths shut.

@@janetcallanan7020 Look, I’m no fan of either Kody or Robyn, but I think that you view this in absolute black and white. Realistically she was a divorcée with 3 young children, in debt and struggling to make ends meet, so in this particular instance I get why she chose to please Kody. At that stage in their relationship he was the one she needed to keep close. And if he had not been so childish, that he HAD to announce this, no one would have been hurt by this. HE was the one who deliberately hurt his wives. He was the one that, at this stage, owed his wives loyalty, consideration and kindness. Especially since he knew that the whole bringing a new young wife into the family, brought in jealousy and insecurities.

Agree! Robyn "plays dumb" but I believe she always knows and is instrumental in the manipulations. I also got bad vibes from the first time I saw/heard Robyn. The storyline seemed more real before her entry. Afterwards it turned to way too much drama.

Meh, this was overblown. The pre-wedding kissing was underblown. Correct me if wrong, but after Christine made it clear that she was devastated that Robyn and Kody kissed when they got engaged because they weren't married yet, Robyn and Kody KEPT kissing in front of the cameras, including when Christine was giving birth. It's not totally clear when the sit down interviews were relative to the episodes so maybe Christine hadn't said that yet, but regardless how do they not all have the same understanding of the rules of their very strict religion and how do you agree to let someone in the family if you're not clear on that?

They were both breaches of trust but yes, the premarital kissing was more serious since she was kissing a married man. The wedding dress thing was a deception (no matter how trivial or important a decision it was) and a disrespect of the OG3’s time.

When the wedding dress incident happened, Robyn said she had expected Kody to keep it a secret because she wanted to protect the two experiences. She did not expect Kody to tell them. I think after that and all that backlash she received, Kody really started keeping her secrets and pulling away from the other women. I wish they had played back what Robyn said to her because she's now trying to say they did nothing wrong. If they were monogamous it would have been fine but Robyn clearly expected a monogamous type relationship with Kody. She was a bad fit from the get go.

I didn't like her from day 1. He was taking sooo much time away from the og3 and the kids. I know in my gut that he was spending nights with her. The wedding dress situation. The she deserves equal time before marriage.

Where is it written that before you marry in polygamy, you get to spend time at a potential wife's home overnight many, many times with a 4 hour drive thrown in. Taking all that time away from his other obligations/responsibilities to 3 wives & 13 kids. That is not the rules of religious polygamy.

She should have just told them she wanted to shop for the dress with Kody. She has every right to take whomever she chooses. If my best friend wanted her fiance to pick her dress with her instead of me & her other close friends, I would have no problem with it. In fact, my bff picked hers with just her mom. There were plenty of other things to be involved in with a wedding. It's up to the bride. If she had lied to me about it or mislead me, and then not have been apologetic when the truth came out, then I would have been upset & lost trust in her. Robyn wasn't sorry. She was sorry she got caught. There was no reason for her to mislead them in the first place. This woman lies when there is no reason to. Robyn lies for sport.
