@@manicagency yeah no. This track is not in any way ‘rnb crossover.’ It’s the beginning of her moving in a more electro pop/indie direction musically. The only thing rnb about it is her vocal tone and delivery. It was well ahead of its time and remains under-appreciated because the general public picked up more on her uptempo stuff. This album is amazing and showcased how extremely unique Robyn is. It really showed off what she was capable of as an artist beyond just being a great pop singer. Robyn is one of my all time faves and has been since her first album. There’s something very special there no matter what she does style wise.

This video is really connected to the lyrics of the song....nobody but a small few have managed to see that. The whole point of her being in a box is because that's just where society/the music industry wants her, boxed into their definitions of what a woman "should" be/appear like. As the video goes on, she gets more colourful and also madder and madder, because she's a unique individual and doesn't belong in a box so that people can "handle" her. She's telling people you CAN'T handle me.
