I'm such a late bloomer to ROBYN. But i love her and her music. 💘🎵😍

She should have been a bigger star than she is now. I am genuinely impressed with her interviews. I love how open-minded she is.

Great interview, thanks for posting it. Robyn seems such a cool person, she's very witty and smart, and she comes across very confident without being smug or arrogant. I just think she's awesome.

The problem is that danes, swedes and norwegians rarely are exposed to each others languages. The languages are very similar but the danish accent sounds a bit like drunken gibberish. I´ve experienced a few times having to speak english in Denmark, and norwegian is practically identical to danish in it´s written form. It only takes a bit of practice though to get the hang of it, so I think it´s sad to watch this interview. They´re not even trying to understand each other.

The interviewer is tedious. Robyn is brilliant.
@soulsurvivor200116 жыл бұрын
She's cocky, but when you have the talent to back it up (as she does) you're just being true to yourself. That swagger is part of what makes her so cool, iconic and dare I say it sexy.
@sakhu89452 жыл бұрын
Cocky usually means insecurity. None of the greatest singers were never cocky(whitney, monica, etc) and Robyn was never a great singer.
@JasonSum1979 Жыл бұрын
Robyn is musically a genius (She is in many likes like Bjork) They were so ahead of everyone else it sort of doomed them! Robyn debut album is so impressive she was 15 put out this pop/R&B/ dance album (The US Pop boom would happen less then a year later! Which sucks she should’ve been as huge as the Spice Girls, Brittany Spears, all the boy bands she also evolved a great deal from album to album! So much respect & love i have for Robyn (Without Robyn there would’ve never been Pink, Rihanna, Lady Gaga) She was the blue print as a modern artist

Man.....don't you hate it when someone keeps forcing you to keep explaining very simplistic things, Robyn?

Yeah. Swedes can understand danish...but it can also be hard for both sides to understand it. So it's best for a english speaking interview.

@gabbefuchs I have to tell you... I'm a French Canadian, and I absolutely love scandinavian languages, I learned english to speak to enybody else in the world, yes it's sad there's one language that creates a common network, but I now have friends from Esbjerg, Elsingør Aarhus and of course København! And I can say these young people are proud of their language and because of them, I can learn it too... Everybody should know at least 3-5 languages to be able to speak with everyone!
@soulsurvivor200116 жыл бұрын
Physically Robyn doesn't do it for me. She summed it up in "Who's that Girl" when she said "I'm just pretty some of the time" and "I'm only sexy when I say it's okay." Sexy is an attitude. Her confidence is what makes her sexy to me. She could have any man she wants simply by force of sheer will. She's bold, confident, talented, cute and very intelligent and all that combined...is sexy. And have you heard her vocals on Fristil with Petter? That's just sexy. The girl has it.

she's great. open honest natural. comes thru in her music. at 3:02 - 4;00ish, were they talking about tall poppy syndrome? jantelhoven.. really interesting culture differences.. that from afar you don't know about. interesting. its not the first time an interviewer has talked about her self confidence.. it seems kinda standard to me - are they not so self-confident in Denmark? or you just don't express it as such? what does dydbe mean btw? thanks!
@sjoelund114 жыл бұрын
@gabbefuchs I agree. I have lived with a danish and a swedish girl for three months, and we never spoke english with each other. But if your not used to listen to swedish or danish, you have to concentrate a bit more to understand it. Therefore english might seem easier.

Ugghhh!!! The host is such an awful, clunky and uncomfortable bore of an interviewer! Such a self-righteous prick who keeps criticizing her for being confident and honest. Correcting her and controlling every aspect of what she says and telling her what to do! This interview must have been torture for her!!

Wow, as an American, I have to say it's convienent (for us) but kind of sad that English has become the universal language. Still, very interesting to watch Robyn with her American, slightly New York sounding accent and a Danish guy with a heavy British accent side note-I actually know a fair amount of Japanese and I would say that the literal translation for Konnichiwa is "good afternoon" but it is also the closest word they have to "hello"

@MsJenjam Its a scandinavian mindset, "You should never believe you are anything special", you should never stand out to much or be too pleased with your self. The P.C. crowd will attack you if you do and try to keep you down.

@r8ght And I'm Swedish and I'm speaking to you in English even though we're both from the same country!!! OMG!!! Really though-- I couldn't have a conversation with a Dane even if I wanted to. It's very difficult to understand unless you're used to their different words and VERY different pronounciation. As most Swedes, I for the most part have no problem whatsoever with Norwegian, but spoken Danish, I just don't understand, and I sure wouldn't be comfortable being interviewed in the language.
