Works really well on a high quality stereo, folk probably need better quality speakers. It sounds utterly sublime from a whisper to bone crunching loud; the production is spot on. Love the waves of little noises towards the end and all the different treatments of the vocals are delicious. Great!

Supposedly Robyn re-worked this song more than any other in her entire career. It was all about getting lost in the textures of its sound--that was the only way it could manifest. A purely physical experience of creation, so far from the (brilliant but) frequently mechanical construction of her music--sadness set to a syncopated beat. Under those circumstances, I completely understand why she didn't release the Girls version everyone seems to want so much in the comments. There's something definitive about this song as a statement. I can hear what Robyn fans like so much about the demo, of course. It fits into the musical legacy of Dancing On My Own. But for me, it's missing so many of the magical qualities of this final cut. This feels like... being suspended in sound and slowing melting into it. It's dripping with sensuality, and it hints at so much, both pleasure and pain. The heart seems to exist on a knife's edge here, but there's a bliss in accepting that. This song sounds like a drug.

Great final version! Love it so much! I liked the 'Girls' song too, but I think it was poppier and sounded more like a mix, but this album version is more mature, more refined, an evolution in Robyn's music.
