@@Tastaalex I watched from afar. I remember hanging with my homegirl that hosted Roc Radio on Power 105 when she played a Jay Z song that Dame hadn't cleared. She told him Lyor & Jay brought the song to the station. The look on Dames expression on his face... PRICELESS....he stepped out, made a call, came back lookin like somebody kicked his dog She & I both whispered... Damn... Its over.

You really did your thing on this. And the fact you wasn’t born during most of the Roc reign. It’s rumored Jay line at the end of Thank You on Blueprint 3, “Kiss the wife good night for me *laughing” was about Rachel Roy. Blueprint 3 was released in 2009, the same year Rachel filed for divorce from Dame.

It's funny, the one everyone slept on was Kanye and he ended up being bigger than everyone, I don't think Kanye would have grown under the Roc though. Kanye wanted to be Jay Z and then he wanted to be bigger than Jay and that's what Ye did. Super dope documentary, thanks for the journey.

Real good job on this whole series! I think the whole Roc story is 1 of the best to learn from in music history & you did your thing in all 4 parts. All 4 parts were broken down really well & I couldn't wait till the end which was my favorite but saddest part. Everybody blames Jay for the fall of the ROC..but they NEVER mention how Dame was FN off the $ that was supposed to be split between Dame, Biggs & Jay. The biggest records on the ROC were Jay Z records and as a part owner he should have been CAKING UP!!..He wasnt because Dame was spending CRAZY before the 3 way split. Dame would get his 3rd..Jay & Biggs their 3rd BUT...Dame had already dipped into their bottom line BEFORE the 3 way split (private jets..clothing budget, jewelry budget, cribs, cars..etc) BEFORE Jay or Biggs seen the invoices. Jay got tired of it...Biggs didnt give a F cause he was a silent partner and was still getting his $ in the streets. Jay was like F doing business with a man that is robbing me..Alpo felt the same way and the results were much different. YOU DON'T PLAY WITH ANOTHER MANS $...PERIOD.
