Marcberg is my alltime favorite album. As a lyricist myself, I commend Roc for all of his contributions and craft. Thank God For Roc Marci coming soon. I hear what dude is saying but you don’t have to lock into your region’s sound. You can mix it up. Cube came with Bomb Squad production and that NY, Public Enemy mashup he was doing was the hard thing to ever come out of LA (and that’s saying a lot). EPMD and Masta Ace had a west coast funk in the early/mid 90s and it was hard. 50 Cent was doing Scarface like stuff in the early 2000 and almost ended the career of one of the biggest stars of the time.
