Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks Football program are clearly moving the in the right direction. Taking a look at where the program is right now and where the program is going heading into he 2025 college football season.

Dan Lanning has only been a head coach for 3 seasons, so to criticize player development is a little harsh. On the other hand I see Bo Nix and and other portal players demonstrate marked improvement compared to their results elsewhere. I would suggest a closer look before accepting any remarks about player development at U of O.

Awesome breakdown gentleman, y’all are making the welt marks on the old behind we received at the rose bowl feel a little more better looking to the future. It literally has taken me about a month to be able to get back in the swing of things with all news for college football. What a phenomenal season our first year in the B1G , but a painful way to end. That being said, Go Ducks and really appreciate the content and love you give to us out here on the West coast! 🦆

I have confidence Oregon will be a national contender year in and year out. The top teir teams in the B1G will be in dog fight for supremacy every year as well. Michigan is prepared to be amongst the conference best yet again. Penn state seems to be taking the right steps to be included in the top tier. And Ohio state isn't going anywhere. We'll see if the middle of the pack teams can take that next step similar to what Indiana was able to do. It will be fun watching the B1G in the years to come.

USC will overtake Oregon next year, 2 years max. Boy are they committed. They are no longer being lazy in Cali with recruiting. Riley has finally figured it out.Their defense is going to shock people. Oregon is a dirty little program . They do things which others or very few others do. Chip was cheating then went to NFL. After St. John Bosco's coach was found out last week , let's see if Oregon is involved in this or not. You trust these guys to be ethical?

state of the program is excellent, would rather be an oregon fan compared to almost any other team

I’m pumped as a 🦆 fan, and what some would consider a duck expert. If a program maximizes itself, getting almost every player it wants nationally in recruiting, because of on field success, Oregon is sitting at a 7/10 in 2024/25. The closest thing to a 10/10 would be USC in 2004, or Alabama following their 2009 national title for several seasons. I think Oregon can get up to an 8/10, or 9/10 by 2026, based on who they recruited the last three cycles…which is why that’s the year I have circled for them to win it all. 2025 is the year Oregon could peak a year early though, because I still believe Dante Moore was the best QB coming out of high school, in his class, and I believe anyone would struggle at UCLA in 2023…since the backfield was pressured over 700 times, out of the almost 1000 snaps. Chip Kelly couldn’t recruit, which is why that OL was atrocious, and why he was about to get fired after the 2024 season anyway, before fleeing for OSU. Oregon has a very clear path to winning the big 10 two years in a row, even though I know through my sources, that Dan Lanning regrets getting that first round by in 2024. Will he lose on purpose, or will he have a different approach, if he knows he can win the Big10 championship? The other part of that-he also mentioned to his assistant coaches over the walkie-talkies numerous times that the rust was an issue in practice, and was going to be an issue on January 1. I wish I would’ve known that before I went to the game…LOL.But at least we got to see the real teams the last 33mins, when Oregon outscored OSU 21-7…once the rust wore off. Now, looking at Oregon in 2025, they will be very good in 2025, and several positions will improve, despite being younger-like the secondary. They immediately get taller, and they have a much higher ceiling. I have a feeling though that Dan will treat the 2025 season, like a 3rd and 4, when you know you’re going for it on 4th and short. 2025 is only setting up the 2026 to win it all, since that will be THE best roster in CFB, with a 4th year with Matayo, a 2nd yr with Dante, and the young guys like Dekorien, Offord, Flowers, McNutt, & Brew. They will be dynamic at every single position.

You have to remember that a lot of players left in Lanning's first couple years. You have to replace them using the portal because that's how they left.

PSU in Happy Valley is going to be tough. 12-0 would be cool...until you remember how 13-0 went. It might actually be better to lose a game or two in the regular season and get a chance at that redemption arc like OSU did.

I get the feeling Negative Ned there would rather see a 9 and 3 team 'developed from the ground up' with 'great recruits out of high school' than an undefeated champion built however need be. This is Oregon. West Coast. Middle of nowhere. Sometimes the entire state only produces one real top college prospect.

@kron-dean-ic
@kron-dean-ic 5 күн бұрын
As with moist every team with elite rosters. It's easy to pick on Phil knight because he's a known figure. Most of these other teams are being funded by millionaires and billionaires, they are just not well known.

Buying players is a decades old practice. It’s above board now. Every team is buying players. The top 6 to 8 just have more resources. They are all the same in ability to stack a roster. Teams that do not have the resources will always play second fiddle. There me slight shifts in the years to come, but that’s the sport. Gather money, acquire talent, play for championships. The spending is only going to go up.

oregon didn't play its worst in the Rose Bowl. That's who oregon was this season. oregon barely beat OSU at autzen, schemed up some stuff and got a couple of breaks. OSU improved/changed and oregon did not. OSU had better players and coaches and just put BTA. Don't worry, uncle phil is doing everything he can to procure a title. Either way, you guys still have a lot of cute costumes.

Your on drugs if you think they are a contender this next year. Losing 20 starters is not a good way to try to win a title. They have no quarterback who is good enough to win any big game. Don’t even start on Dante Moore because he is not the guy. Dude is terrible and they will be lucky to make the playoffs next year
