Disappointing the amount of British people that don’t even vote
@Englishman_Talks6 күн бұрын
Yes, we must start having these conversations more often in everyday life about why people should turn to Reform UK, regardless of their current political beliefs. Here are three key reasons, on a national level, why Reform UK deserves your vote: 1. Common-Sense Policies - Reform UK prioritizes practical solutions over political ideology, focusing on what truly benefits the British people. 2. Fixing Broken Systems - From immigration to the economy, the party is committed to unraveling the mess caused corruption, complacency and incompetence. 3. Putting the People First - Unlike the career politicians who serve party interests, Reform UK stands for the honest, hardworking men and women of the UK.

My parents live in Rochdale. They really do feel like pulling their hair out. They tell everyone to vote and all they get is, what is the point they have already won. My parents point out, that they are winning because we have succumbed to apathy. My parents raised us on the importance of voting.

So they have retracted into their shells. Did you see the two youths that were rude, I don’t believe they intended to be rude, I think they were just self conscious or unsure/wary of me. Next I’d love to stand in a room with all races and religions from within the UK and cheer together when we oust the decrepit creatures of the two party system who is are all that any of us know and revolutionise our political system, replacing corrupt politicians with true patriots who are caring and compassionate citizens.

I live north and it's exactly the same in Bolton, Wigan and Leigh, generally people are reacting to situations and policies because they either don't vote, never voted or habitually vote. The actual voters are of a particular growing demographic. Older indigenous people like myself are slowly being replaced, so your quest to become a reform MP for Rochdale is a time limited project. @@Englishman_Talks Its good that you are getting out and about talking to people, when you have talked to them always tell them your name and tell them you are/going to be running for Reform. That way you get your name out there. its a craft you will have to learn because its all about communication. The more you do the more natural you will become. I am sure there are tricks of the trade to approach people in a way that they dont turn off or avoid contact. And also you will need to develop a network of people who can support you if you decide to run. Have you contacted the Reform HQ for advice?

When I was a kid living in Rochdale you could not walk in a straight line in the town it was so full of shoppers, now it looks like the town is in decline, if people do not know or care about who represents them in Westminster it is like living in an asylum Rochdale) and not knowing about how free people live, best of luck to the future REFORM M.P.

I’ve only ever seen Rochdale MPs in news articles, never among the people they represent. Can you imagine one walking into a pub or down the high street? I doubt they could. They’ve abandoned their community for too long, staying silent and hoping they can rely on voters sticking with Labour out of habit rather than holding them accountable at a local level.

I think there are a lot of people who would say that they don't vote to a KZbinr in the street, but would quietly vote Reform in 2029. This is the culture of fear that has been created in this country. As a teacher, if I publicly voiced support for Reform, I could be reported for a non-crime hate incident, which would show up in a DBS check, and my career would be over.

Whats mad is Rochdale is a beautiful looking town in places. My picture of it as a southerner is something like Bangladesh is how I always imagined it!
@Englishman_Talks9 күн бұрын
I’m grateful that you have highlighted this. I always think, gosh it’s a beautiful town, and the architecture is stunning, it’s more rural than people realise too. I will walk around the Muslim areas soon too, I believe it will produce surprising truths to people because the MSM has portrayed divisive and destructive narratives over the town, it’s not as bad as what people are led to believe, and the only reason the rape gangs flourished, is because labour allowed a group of bad people within a community to get away with their crimes. The Labour Party and its virtue signalling politicians have sold the most vulnerable people in our society out, for votes. I mean, it sounds crazy, but it’s not, unfortunately it’s true.

It's great that you've got the confidence to get out there are talk about this stuff. Think about what you're trying to achieve though. Are you trying to poll or campaign? Think about slowing down a little, empathising, making your case and generally just softening your approach. We live in a low trust society these days and you're walking up to people, interrogating them without building rapport and walking off no matter what they say. It's not a great recipe for winning hearts and minds. I'm not knocking you. You've got the hard part down. Keep up the good work.
