When will the cancer cure be available...people are dying left and right of cancer..its reached pandemic proportions and the medical community still fail to do much about it.A cure or vaccine is much needed to keep the human race going.

there can be no 1 cure to cancer, bc cancer evolves and not one single cancer is the same at all, so it has to be targeted treatment and many different types of treatment at once, this is just one type of targeted treatment

does normal cells have PD-L1 too or only cancer cells? If normal cells have this, i suppose this drug will not work.

Normal cells do, but PD=L1 is over-expressed in some cancer cells. These drug most definitely work and have been found superior to chemotherapy and other standards of care in some cases, but some of the side effects do involve the immune system attacking self.

PD-L1 and another protein called PD-1 (Programmed Death-1) are part of an immune checkpoint. PD-L1 on the body’s normal cells recognizes and attaches to PD-1 on T cells, turning off (inactivating) the T cell so it can’t attack cells. However, some tumor cells have large amounts of PD-L1.
