I agree. Naomi is naturally beautiful. Age appropriate makeup is lip gloss and some mascara. At her age I barely got away with adding some eyeliner lol The grown-up/glam look will be there when you become a woman, trust once you get older you won’t even want to wear makeup everyday 😂

Love your vlogs, Sis❤ Regarding the baby and pineapples: some people are sensitive to raw pineapples, and it makes their lips raw, inflamed, red and in pain for a couple days. It’s like that for me as well with raw, pure pineapples. I can eat pineapples from a can, like Doles Pineapple Chunks in Sweet Syrup, but not raw pineapples. Yeah so don’t give him raw pineapples anymore. And there’s no way you could have known. Put clear Vaseline on his lips, or a clear Chapstick, but don’t use any medicated lip balm, because that will burn his lips more. It will go away on his own, but make sure not to give him any citrus foods, or orange juice for a couple days.

Bop Bop is not allergic to pineapple, he just had too much pineapple. Pineapple does this to all of us if we have too much pineapple/suck on pineapple for too long, very common. Pineapple has this enzyme called bromelain and "bromelain has mucolytic effects, hence it can break down some of the mucous in our saliva that protects the lining of the oral cavity" so if we have too much pineapple/ or just suck on a pineapple for an extended period of time our mouth becomes sore. Bop bop sucking on the pineapple from the mesh thing for too long caused the mouth sensitivity, he can still have pineapple in small quick doses like the rest of us. Source: I once ate so much pineapple my mouth was sore for days, I couldn't eat anything spicy without being in extreme pain. Also google.

Sometimes if the pineapple is not ripe enough (usually whiter in color) it can irritate the mouth. Especially the lips and insides of the mouth. Its happened to me too several times so i only eat extra ripe yellow pineapple. I hope this helps

Also, some pineapples are more raw than others, and they have those small needles that we really can’t see but they are there and as we eat the raw pineapple, those needles stick us, and some people develop an allergy to that.

Some pineapple has a higher PH than others. It's a very accidic fruit. I've had some that were very sweet, but still burned my lips. Pehaps coat his lips with Vaseline prior to consumption.

I remember when Jordan was not much bigger than bop bop, now look at him man! Sending love to your family Rochelle. I find pineapple juice a little acidic, especially the core. Try extra ripe pineapples, because the greener ones are quite acidic. That can burn his tender lips.

Maybe is the blue thing you put the pineapple in. Try blending the pineapple and if you give and he doesn’t have a reaction then it’s definitely the mesh thing. Because they usually silicone not mesh.

Yes be careful my kids are going to go allergy test and too much can cause that to happen he’s still young. Hi Rochelle, First of all thank you for the consistent posting. Don’t over work yourself! Take breaks when needed like you just did.. 🫶🏾 Now when it comes to the pineapple situation, sometimes when you eat too much pineapple you mouth and tongue starts to feel painful and you feel a sense of stinging/pricking sensation. I am thinking this might have been the case for bopbop… not sure if it’s s real allergic reaction… Even as an adult i have this when I eat a lot of pineapple.. Do you know the painful sensation i am talking about? 🙏🏾 I hope he’s better now!

Sounds like Bop Bop is allergic to the pineapple. Even though he has had it before. My daughter used to eat kiwi all those as a toddler, then one day she stared having allergic reactions. Now she is allergic to pineapple too.

Hi Rochelle! Bop bop is getting so big. He may not have had an allergic reaction. Pineapple is very acidic so the amount he had may have just been to much acid for him. Try to introduce it again once he is healed but give him small amounts. I hope that helps. Merry Christmas!!!

Awww, poor Bop Bop! Maybe the pineapple that you gave him was very acidic! When very ripe it can be sharp which may have caused his lips to chafe. Give him water and rum some Aloe Vera on his lips to soothe it.

Hi hun, hope the family is all well. Please be careful of when you do introduce bop bop to new food as that’s how I found out my daughter was allergic to certain foods that actually sent us to the hospital, keep some allergy medicine at home for him incase of any reactions. Love and blessings ❤

With allergies sometimes you need multiple exposures of the allergen to hit the threshold for a reaction. This is why we can have new allergies as adults to things that we ate as children.

Pineapple has anti-oxidant, anti-coagulant and anti-inflammatory properties. The acid in pineapple destroys gums and teeth and causes swelling face and lips. If allergic to pineapple, it may cause anaphylactic shock.

Those boba drinks are soo bad for you. Packed with sugar. Please be careful drinking them especially Naomi. She is a beautiful girl and as her mum it’s important to instill healthy eating habits. Her body is still growing but I would hate for her to gain excessive weight at this age and then spend the rest of her life fighting to shed it! It’s very common for pineapple to irritate people especially babies. Even as an adult I get a tingling or numbness. It isn’t recommended for babies to start on with pineapple for that reason

Sometimes if you don't peel the pineapple properly, and where some of the outer skin remains, if it touches the lips and inner mouth it becomes irritated and causes sourness... that what happens to be any way

I dont know if its a reflection of ur camera bouncing off the glass window or someone outside recording you but this is Africa, you must close your opaque curtains at night because see through ones can invite creeps/burglars to your window and house are only for daytime.

The baby is not allergic to pineapple but its because pineapples have bromelain that burns the tongue and lips especially if its not very ripe or if it stays on the lips too long. Maybe give him pineapple juice but not the fruit itself yet especially in the mess thing. Also, the blue color of the mess is concerning, maybe look for a clear one. Where is Abdul by the way? We miss him

Too much raw pineapple makes my mouth feel funny/ slight itchy feeling. It's just something in it that's an irritant, maybe a sap. Kiwi also has the same effect. FYI make sure you always have your allergy medicine at home at all times just in case

It’s called oral allergy syndrome. It’s fairly common, and a lot of people have that issue with pineapple. If you’re allergic or sensitive to the pollen of botanically similar plants, if follows that you’re more likely to have sensitivity to edible plants in that family. Pineapple and tomato make my mouth burn for this reason (i still eat them anyway LOL).

Pineapple issue: Google the enzyme Bromelain in pineapples. Most likely that’s what caused the reaction that your baby had to eating pineapple, not allergies. It can cause a burning/stinging sensation. Try to make sure to cut away all of the pineapple core because that is where most of the Bromelain is located. However, he may still have the same reaction next time because the enzyme breaks down proteins in our mouths. Cooking the pineapple first helps to cut down on the Bromelain enzyme.
