Great memories. All my old stomping grounds. I was born in 71, I went to Shorty's market everyday. That really took me back to the good old days. Best times to grow up as a kid. It was so different back then now I drive thru my old neighborhood and its depressing. Sad to see what its turned to. I would give anything to go back to the 60's and 70's. Hole different time back then. I use to skip school at Al's stand. Man I miss them days. Thanks

My grandmother used to live on Sheridan Street. How I missed that street I wish I had a picture of that. Thank you very much for uploading this. I'm trying to remember my childhood and it brought back memories for me

Thank you for the memories. Awesome time to be a teenager! Living life, feeling Carefree and being surrounded by wonderful people, life experiences and music!! For me as a young lady , Lol "much older now"... I can say Rochester NY was 1 beautiful giant playground! Especially back in the 1970/80s! Those were the best of times! For the most part. 👍🙂 BTW Had lots of family and friends who lived on Fulton Avenue. Use to spend most of the summer months over there visiting. I remember Al's stand, Tent city, Pontillos, 121 club, Caesar's nightclub, Roncones, hopping on a bus going downtown to Midtown Plaza..... My cousins and I catching the Lake Avenue bus taking us all the way down to Charlotte beach! Eating delicious lunches at the Char pit..... club 2001and 747.... Lovely Driving Park/ Rose Garden, scary wood plank Driving Park Bridge!! Oh and a absolutely lovely Oasis at the bottom of Driving Park after a long treacherous hike! .... I lived off of Monroe Ave on Rosendale St. However the 9th Ward area was always my favorite! Every song from back then has a memory attached in my mind of a beloved person place or thing....

For me to. Best time of my life over their. I miss it, I really do. Times have changed, that's for sure. You can even walk down the street any more. I went to #30 school and Jefferson high, skipped classes at Al's stand. Its just crazy, it really is.
