Some beautiful cars...would easily take the whole day to give the show a good look. The pair of Manitoba cars...the '69 Camaro and the '67 Beaumont were a nice (and new) treat to see...along with many other cars. Thanks for the coverage, Gary...it allows people who are no longer in Saskatoon to "visit" and enjoy a downtown tradition in The Toon.

The gold Camaro and Beaumont were my personal favorites , I probably missed 100 cars as they weren't all in place till much later and by then the crowd was pretty heavy, I certainly appreciate you watching and the kind words thank you 😊

Ya I thought it was a neat display this year, I don't remember a dedicated display to elec vehicles and it was my first time seeing the cyber truck also thanks for watching 👍

Cool video, Gary. I owned the gold blown Mach 1 from 1999-2003, but it was just a stock 351C4V at that time. Sure has grown in power over the decades!

By noon you could hardly navigate the streets for the crowds! Unbelievable turnout! Thanks for the video Gary!

Hey Gary good video, we're from BC and have just moved to the Saskatoon area. This is a move that we've been planning for the last 3 years, and for the last 3 years we've been able to attend this show and are always impressed. However we've seen multiple ads for this show claiming to be "Western Canadas'Largest Car Show". Sorry but I have to set the record straight. Langley BC has their Cruise in' first Saturday after Labor Day (since 1997) and I have attended every show (as a participant). This show typically draws approx 1900 vehicles. This would make it Western Canadas' Largest Car Show. If you ever get the chance please check it out, I'm sure your viewers would love to see it. Keep up with the great videos.

Thanks Dave and welcome to Saskatoon and yes I would definitely agree the rock 102 show is no where near the largest in western Canada I don't know why they would advertise that , I also very much appreciate you watching thank you 😊

There were several hundred high caliber cars at this event and there was more than one 1000hp car there I very much appreciate all of them and I'm hardly casual

What was the final count for car s attending ?
@garythegear2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I have no way of knowing, the radio station would be the only ones to have an accurate count based on how many envelopes they hand out to participants

I see the car clubs are as pretentious as ever with the roped off areas, that sh*t was gettin old back in 1995.
@garythegear2 ай бұрын
It's certainly nice to be able to peek in the cars for a closer look however I've had issues at shows like this where people actually get in the cars without permission as well as finger prints all over , often the general public don't understand the no touchy rules

We didn't rope off, but with the ignorance of some people down there I get it. My parents (didnt rope off downtown either) have a 55 Crown Victoria and on Saturday (at Co-Op) some kid opened the door, jumped in their car and was playing around with everything in there. People not watching their kids and people not respecting I kinda get it.
@garythegear2 ай бұрын
@TheRedlineRun ya very sorry to hear that , it's something that shouldn't ever happen but does, last year my car was parked at the dubs Saturday night and it got covered in a sugary substance front to back not sure if it was a kid spitting his slurpy drink all over my car , that shit didn't come off easily, I also had people get into my car , so I understand the rope and in many ways prefer it
@leegifford29422 ай бұрын
Saskatoon Antique Auto Club doesn't and never has. They are always stationed on 21st Street in front of the Canada Building. There's been talk of roping it off, but I hope the club doesn't go that route. It makes it more inviting for people to look in the cars and ask the owners' questions. Our experience has found people very respectful. I guess we've been lucky.
@thomhagan82972 ай бұрын
@@leegifford2942 Ya I guess it's a tough call as Gary pointed out, it always has been. I've had friends who are car guys lean against my car with jeans and all those rivets or try to sit on front...it's like what, you don't understand how paint works?
