This was a wonderful performance. This actually did justice to Alvin Ailey. You have to be careful when taking on one if his performances...at my church, we're actually doing a rendition of "I've Been 'Buked". I'll be sure to post! Deidre, I don't know you, but keep up the great work! Dancers, keep it up!

One of my favorite Black spirituals, perfect for "homegoing" and memorial services. Lovely harmony by the choir--but why aren't the folks clapping from the very beginning? I love the choreography and the flowing white garments--nothing like the saints of God praising Him with everything they've got! No, they don't need palazzos--the costumes are very modest and permit full movement--and there are tights covering the legs. "Praise Him with timbrels and dancing!" Psalm 150:4

Cialis Wang-Johnson Me too! My Church choir is ok, but we sing basicly the same hyms evey week, except during Lent and Advent! I'm wondering if this song would work in a Roman Catholic Church as well? You see, I'm NOT Baptist, I'm Roman Catholic and I just LOVE this song!

Copyrighted material does need permission from the owner. In this case, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater owns the rights to the piece "Revelations". However, the dance being demonstrated in this video clip was inspired by the original piece. Besides, they are not using any of the the props or costumes and the dance steps are not the same as what Mr. Ailey choreographed.

Have you ever looked at someone with lust? The Bible says that if someone hates another person they are a murderer (I John 3:15). Have you ever hated anyone? If you have answered, Yes, to the previous questions, then you have admitted that you are a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, an adulterer and a murderer and we’ve only looked at 4 of the 10 Commandments. If God were to judge you by this standard would you be innocent or guilty? You know you are guilty and deserving of an eternity in Hell.

Please read the following questions carefully, be honest and listen to your conscience. Would you consider yourself to be a good person? The Bible declares, most men will proclaim their own goodness. Let’s see if you qualify as being a good person. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything, irrespective of its value? Have you ever used God’s name to curse? Jesus said, I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart?

jesussaves7777 Talk about an easy questionnaire. The only true answer to any of your suppositions is yes. if you are a member of the human race you have committed all of these "sins" whether you realize it or not. To even pose them is a form of judgement, in my opinion. The great part about it is that the actuality of "being a good person" really doesn't matter in the least because by God's standards it's impossible. That's where His Son comes in. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not dinner, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us." - 1 John 1:9-10, ESV

Jesus Christ came to earth and died a criminal’s death not because He had broken the Law, but because we had. God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. What should you do? Repent, turn from your sins & put your complete faith in Jesus Christ as your Savoir and Lord. You may die today, in your sin. Is there any reason why you would not accept God’s gift? More info at living waters website with true & false conversion audio sermon. God Bless!
