Couldn't agree more with what you said about Rock Band 2... and I only started playing it for the first time about two years ago. Not only is it my absolute favorite music game, it's one of my all-time favorite video games, period. The numerous customization options (not just for characters, but even your band lineup in Tour Mode), the presentation, the setlist... all of it's just PERFECT. The back of the box says that Rock Band 2 is the "ultimate music game experience." Truer words have never been spoken.

Great description. I playing the GH1 demo at the GameStop store near my house and it was the first music based game I played and I didn't know how to play but I got used to it. I bought GH1 in Christmas 2005 and it was the greatest thing that I ever got and I got even more interested in music. I was in a battle of the bands contest in 9th grade which I had won and I went almost all around the country. I was interested in because I had loved rock and metal music. I remember the old days when Guitar Hero was a PS2 exclusive. I would play the game in the living room while my parents and my middle brother would watch me miserably fail at almost every song because I was new to it and it was the first game too. I got better at it and started moving on to medium mode. My family would sit around and read or watch me play great music they liked, it was so relaxing and enjoyful. I really do miss those Guitar Hero days. I miss the 80's rock and metal type singer from the cartoony Guitar Hero games and the hot female singer from GH1. Although I like GH1 to GH3, GH1 is harder but it was still a good game with great covers and I mod that game and cheat on it which makes it fun for me. I like the cartoony Guitar Hero's a lot more than the realistic type ones. Guitar Hero is pretty dead now and no one talks about it but it will always remain as a memory to all of us. Don't be sad it's over, just be glad it happened.

You practically hit the nail right on the head with that description. Even though Guitar Hero and Rock Band didn’t play the biggest roles in my childhood (I only played GH1+2 and RB1 when I was just a wee lad and I didn’t get to play the rest of the games in both series until I started reaching my adulthood), it’s a shame that Guitar Hero has pretty much died as a franchise and Rock Band is just becoming a shell of it’s former self at this point. I wanna be brought back to the time when these games were the shit. Not to mention that I myself would be a completely different person if these games and their communities didn’t introduce me to so many awesome bands.

I can relate to you in that description you put there. 3 days ago I sold my wiiu in order to get a ps3 and play rock band 2 again and I also signed in my old psn account from 2008 and downloaded all my old dlc (including some delisted metallica, RHCP, SOAD, etc.) Including some dlc I bought on my ps4 thats compatible with RB2 and man I don't regret my decision, all those fun times with RB2 back. Even though I own RB4 on ps4, I think rb4 is still a good game but rb2 is unmatched and is the best rock band PERIOD

Rock Band 3 was, in my opinion, the absolute pinnacle of the rhythm game genre. Not only did it have vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, but it also had keyboards, as well as DLC support for mostly all other Rock Band songs (except for Beatles Rock Band).

I didn't realize until now that the frame of the Indie Access Video Shoot venue is at least 50fps. I wonder if the PAL version has 60fps since that's they run on if I remember correctly but I am not sure if I am correct.
