This is a devil tier song. The intro and solo part are 100% worthy of Devil Tiering. And changing it to a 5 dot or even less because of how easy the rest of the song is means changing those parts to be easier too.

I do agree those parts are deffo Devil Tier, tho they are not that hard to pass, especially the solo thanks to the overdrive, at least to my mind. I believe that a song like Halls of Valhalla has more challenging solo parts and overall is much harder and straining overall compared to Hail to the King, even though the song is right before Halls.

+Aaron Carnes Well the album was supposed to be kind of a tribute-ish to the kind of music they grew up listening to and that was kinda how it was back then. Especially for stuff like Metallica, Lars Ulrich wasn't exactly the best drummer.

Why does everyone think this shouldn't be devil tier for guitar? When your ability to pass the song depends on whether or not you can hit that intro with no OD, I'd say that makes it devil tier. I can see plenty of expert guitarists failing out before the verse (thankfully, I'm not one of them. ^^). Anyway, I can only imagine how strenuous this song would be to play if they charted Syn's part for the whole song. Shame, really...

+venescas I'm thinking people are gonna be annoyed with this game. From what I've seen In a few songs at least, they go for the easier guitar shit In harder songs. Like on this one. That intro should've been used throughout 90% of the song, because thats what the lead guitar Is In the actual song. Very dissapointed they used the rhythm guitar for the entirety of the song..

What a disappointing chart, it could've been so much more difficult (aka more fun) but they had to choose the easiest guitar line possible for the casual players. This is also very noticeable during the bridge for Still Into You, that song could've had a sudden spike in difficulty similar to Rio with strumming like that, but they had to make it so pathetically easy.

That's completely the wrong way around. Rockband and Guitar hero have ALWAYS been about the hard songs with insane solos that burn your fingers to little stubs, but give huge satisfaction when you nail it. You can play casual if you like, but the hard stuff is really where it's at. Just look at the songs: We Three Kings, TTFAF, FOTS, Devil Went Down To Georgia, Sudden Death, Black Widow of La Porte, Eruption, One, the list goes on. I played this song at insomnia before the game got released and tbh it was fun, but disappointin, especially as there is no actual solo (or at least there wasn't when I played, they had that stupid freestyle thing with positive grid.
