On Rock Rods episode 116 we are taking you to Mid America Outdoors in Jay, Oklahoma for their Visions Offroad 2021 event. The best Rock Bouncers from all over the Country came to test out their skills on some brand new hill climbs. Rock Bouncer Hill Climb Racing involves two hills that are timed that accrue points for each driver. The driver with the most points after two hills wins the money.

I would say 800 on average. Some as much as 1600

Big power isn't needed, just makes you have to upgrade parts and make the buggy heavier. 800-1000hp is all you need and keep the rig as light as possible.

A turbocharged buggy's nightmare. I'd need a neutral button to keep spool through the hits lol. Kinda like clutch kicks.

@@anthonyjohnson100 they blew up the hills with dynamite before the event to make completely new hills. The park as well as SRRS and Pro Rock helped choose the lines and modify the hills. I even tested a few in our shop buggy to help them dial them in before the race.

I would love to come to these events with a different rig every time, not worried about season standing at all, but just trying to build a more capable rig than these guys can and showing off like crazy. But then again I’ve never seen any of these hills in person

I don’t buy rigs I build em, I just don’t want to ruin the competition, I’m talkin I’ll show up once a year and that’s the only time you’re ever gonna see me.
