The Dad's Army lads hit up Rock Candy a mountain bike jump track in Woodhill mountain bike park in Auckland. I see if I can get over the jumps on my E bike, a Specialized Levo turbo.

It is great to have a place like Woodhill. It is sand based so when all the other tracks are unrideable it still runs mint.

Great vid Lance. It gave me the inspiration to try. Drop in went fine...jump out less than perfect as I tangled with that tree on the left side. Dusted off and will try again after a bit more practice. Perhaps Chinese Laundry will help!

No video of the airfield in woodhill!? Those jumps are very flowy and easy. Especially the few down the bottom closest to the car park. Great little area for anyone to improve their jumping skills. A video pushing dad's army's limits at the airfield will be a huge hit!! Cheers

Two questions. #1, how do you get to this trail, and #2, if you can do drop zone, is this easy to work up to?

It is very close to the start of set in stone. It is harder than drop zone but you could work up to it. Good luck

Why when I watch all these Jump instructional videos, they say "get in attack posistion, part way up the jump, stand up etc etc" Then I watch people jump like on here and it just looks like they stand up kinda tall the entire time?
@bestdayevermtb23 жыл бұрын
I must admit the mechanics of jumping can be complicated and I do not claim to be an expert. Some jumps I do virtually nothing but ride off the lip, others I will compress the bike into the lip then stand up on take off. I think lots of practice is the answer.
