I gave up fishing for rockhounding a long time ago. You never get skunked and you can bring them home and they don't smell up the house. Downside is, now I have a garage full of rocks.

Amen 🙌 to this comment, it's terrible to try and fish an entire day just to catch nada. Yes thats so true about rocks not stinking don't have to clean and gut them either 😂 I sure appreciate you watching have a good day ✌️

That jasp-nelian agate is an absolutely amazing find! That is the find of a lifetime right there! It's gorgeous and amazing! And you made a comment that you are glad we helped you identify those banded Cherts, otherwise you would have kept calling them jaspers. Well the only difference between a jasper and a chert, is what part of thou country your from. There is really no difference in the makeup of the two, that separates or identifies them as either chert or jasper. Usually it's the color that sets them apart. You usually don't see light grey jaspers, because we would call those chert. And you usually don't see beautiful red and yellow brightly colored Cherts, because we call those ones jaspers, but they are the same rock. They both concoidally fracture, and they are both micro-crystalline quartz, and they both have the same hardness on the mohs scale. But like I said, you don't hear or see banded jaspers. Because we call the banded variety chert. So whether you call it chert or jasper, both are technically correct. But for the sake of the normal labeling, the banded ones we call banded chert. But you can call them all fred if you want to. They are your rocks, and your finds, so you can call them whatever you want! They are really nice finds. And let me just say, all the jaspers you didn't record yourself finding, they are absolutely phenomenal! They are gorgeous! You find the most beautiful jaspers I've ever seen, on that dirt road! The unusual colors, and patterns on them are so freaking awesome, it's just insane! The multi colored ones are cool enough, but the swirly patterns and the breccia ones and the eye ones, are amazing! That last one you showed with all the eyes would have been the best jasper I've ever seen, and even with the chip out of the rock. If that thing was whole, good lord it would have been phenomenal! So unique and so special! I have only seen eyes like that before, on agates, never on jaspers before you sent that batch to me! And these ones not only have eyes, but the jasper is like multicolored and it has eyes! That is a very special diet road you have there! Cherish those treasures that come from it! Awesome video! I can't wait to see what treasures you find next out there!

Thank you Lisa, I gotta get that Jasp Nelian Agate on the viewers show and tell, I've been sending in a lot of pictures with my short stories. I really enjoy reading your comments, you sure help me out a lot, watching Nic collect chert, I kept wondering how it looked in our part of the country glad to know a little more about it. I recently went to the rock shop Jared made his video. Thinking of joining our rock club we have around here, so I can keep on learning. They let me know that I have a small piece of Blue opal, I thought it was blue Chalcedony, and explained a few things about what I've been finding. One rock I thought was a jasper they said it was a big chunk of chert, I thought I had the same blue pet wood as Jared, but they said it's really opalized, I didn't know there was Blue opal. That's really amazing to know now. I'm so shocked about what you said about the Jasper I find, I know you watch a lot of channels, guess I really didn't notice how different they were from what others find, it's crazy to think how you said you never seen Jaspers that have eyes, sending you the only one I had, good karma came back and I found another glad the one I sent you was complete with no chips. missing. Can't wait for the weather to cool down and get back out there and collect again. I sure will cherish every find gonna have some good tumble material for the winter when I can't rock hunt. Thank you Lisa for the wonderful comment.

@@Shannon_Michael_W. That is amazing that you got to spend time with some local rock club members! You will learn a lot about all aspects of this hobby from them! And I definitely suggest joining a rock club if you can! There is a wealth of knowledge in there that you can learn from! That's amazing! And yes, this winter you are going to have some amazing material to tumble! And just keep filming if and when you do go back out to the dirt road to collect more rocks! They are awesome!

Yes that's a really good piece of Carnelian, the jaspers are amazing reds and yellows some greens, I'm making progress on the dirt road getting further and further each time out. Went walking 6 hours on this day, probably would have went all day but sort of got chased by wild horses, was crazy scared the 💩 of me, the lead horse kept coming at me chased me back to the car, normally you'd think they would want to avoid us not that one he stood his ground 😂 I don't think I'll ever do anything to the last one, It just seems to be a one of a kind rock a top shelf display piece.
