Wow wow wow. The beauty of all the tiny details and structures and inclusions and plumes and fortifications and mineral deposits inside those stones is incredible. I am awe struck. With the colours. Nature is so breathtakingly stunning. And loved the fossils and petrified wood. Thanks to you and Theo for doing this video. It made my heart race and my mind dream of such deep beauty. Oh if i could only recreate the colours in the patterns this would be a beautiful art piece to paint or draw the close up fortifications in the same colours. Wow mind blown thanks Kim 😀

Kim, thanks so much for the rock-on journey. It is so great to see these finds in the raw, listing where they came from, and then seeing the cut/slab and finally the microscope image. The PW pieces are incredible, because the grain of the wood is still visible in some of them; what a bonus! I think I have PW drool right now, 😂

Absolutely WOW! That dryhead agate was gorgeous! and the agatized coral! As if these things arent beautiful enough, under the microscope, they are really gorgeous! And that rutilated quartz mind blowing! To see the inclusions up close is amazing! and that crazy lace is, well...crazy! And that dino bone was absolutely stunning! The pattern and color variation is just wild! and that ammonite was so surprising! That pet wood slab was beautiful but under the microscope, it was amazing! you can actually see the cellulose that the minerals replaced in it! Amazing video! Thanks so much for sharing and when are you going to come on the podcast? Everyone was shouting about it! Please?.....

Some of those New Mexico agates look like they're sagenites, 10:11 looks like some sort of metallic needle crystals. Maybe rutile or silver? Wowsers to that one at 10:48, that's stunning!! That unknown piece at 14:41 might be reticulated rutile, if so that's a super rare find. Where's it from? And ditto ditto Travis and Greg. Come on the podcast sometime. Or are you too cool to hang with us? 😁
@Ken_G.2 жыл бұрын
And I just want to state for the record: I type comments as the video goes along, not all at once at the end, so me typing the word rutile, then you showing a rutilated crystal, then me saying it again was a weird string of random coincidences.
@MontanaRockMom2 жыл бұрын
That one that looks rare metalic...found it in the Stillwater area of Montana.....it appears to have some magnetic properties....
@Ken_G.2 жыл бұрын
@@MontanaRockMom Mindat does list rutile as being found in that region. As well as a metric crap ton of other stuff. It can be magnetic. The ones I recognize on that list that are magnetic aren't what you have. There's a whole bunch there I'm not familiar with at all. What in the world is Rustenburgite or Plumbopalladinite?
