@ActionAdventureTwins we usually go once a year. Not sure about this year but if we go, it would be probably in October.

Put a nite vision camera or a gopro with a small flashlight on a fishing pole and toss down that shaft.

Is there any horizontal access to this mine? With a vertical shaft that deep, there must be other horizontal openings in the area.

When I was little we would play “the never ending hole” on the trampoline. You’re safe when you are on the bar, but the black material represented the hole. This shaft is exactly how I use to imagine the hole 😂 Sometimes we’d fall until we came out of the other side, which we said was China. The random things that will trigger vivid memories 😂

How deep is it?
@ohiotrailsmen Жыл бұрын
I don't know. I've heard a thousand feet. I've also heard it run down the entire depth of the mine. But I was told the mine is 4k feet so I don't think the shaft is that deep. I couldn't find the answer online.

The first rock dropped at 0:04 sounded like it hit the bottom at 0:08, but the boulders took twice as long, so I assume the first one bounced off the wall. A rock falling for 8 seconds falls 1000 feet.
@ohiotrailsmen Жыл бұрын
@@number4cat1 it could of hit the bottom or the side of the shaft. We noticed some flat rocks would glide to the side. Next trip we are taking a fishing reel and a lot of spider wire. Sending the go pro down as far as we can.

@@number4cat1 and a 8sec fall is only 1000ft on paper. It's closer to 600ft in real life.
