Jack Benny was good friends with Jack Paar- who hosted NBC's late night talk show from 1957 through '62- and did a parody of his show here, with Paar's announcer, Hugh Downs, and Dennis Day impersonating Jack's musical director, Jose Melis.....a month later, Paar ended his late night series [Johnny Carson took over "THE TONIGHT SHOW" that October].
