Lyn Inaizumi (the singer) dosen't speak a word or english meaning she had to learn the words and the correct cadence from 0. She is a Japanese jazz and soul vocalist.

I don't know if she didn't speak nothing or if she had at least a basic notion, but she did had a lot of help with the pronunciation. Seems like since she started going on tour she picked up some English lessons

The bass in this song is insane. Also, they use the strings like many songs would in the 70's and it sounds amazing here.

It is a video game. All of the Persona games have great music. The music of Persona 5 was composed by Shoji Meguro. He left ATLUS the company that makes the games in 2021 but he still is involved as a freelancer. Persona 5 was released in 2016 in Japan and 2017 for the rest of the world.

Not any more after this one (Persona 5 Royal is mixed with other composers as are the Persona 5 Strikers and Persona Q and Q2 soundtracks), but he was involved with and primarily did P5 and all the previous ones and there are a lot of them. He also did a lot of the Shin Megami Tensei ones (before IV). All the soundtracks I have heard by him are great, but the Persona 5 one is exceptional imo. The Persona RPG's are also among my favourites for sure and P5 was what got me into them, so I am relatively new to them.

Japanese video gamesoundtracks is what basically got me to jump into importing CD's from Japan years before I properly discovered the jazz, rock and metal scene (2 to 3 years ago) and this soundtrack is what started it all. Still my favourite soundtrack and I still listen to it regularly. Funny fact, Persona 5 (and a couple of Visual Novels) is also what pushed me to start learning Japanese, but Persona 5 was the final push. The Persona 5 videogame released in on September 2016 in Japan and April 2017 worldwide. The soundtrack released on January 2017 in Japan (no worldwide release for the soundtrack as far as I know). The composer of the majority of this soundtrack is Shoji Meguro, who is probably not as much of a legend as the original Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu, but I would say he is pretty close. Edit: Also, Japanese RPG's is where it's at for a lot of great music in videogames (to be fair, there are plenty of great Western composers as well). The soundtracks are typically huge as well. The Persona 5 soundtrack has 3 completely filled CD's but I recently saw an upcoming one (Xenoblade 3) with 9 CD's. The Final Fantasy VII remake had 7 or 8 CD's (depending on the version). I don't know how filled those CD's are going to be, but the Final Fantasy VII remake soundtrack is 8 and a half hours and the Xenoblade 2 soundtrack is 5 and a half hours on 5 CD's. Also, I have added the credits for some of those to a discography site and it took a ridiculously long time. A lot of them use full orchestras and who knows what else. Those composers are really good at what they do, I can not imagine how long it takes to compose something like that.

As someone who loves your Nightwish Reactions I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see this come on you channel. I love the Persona games and every game has its own style and original sound track. This one is a fusion as you said with a lot of, imo, Jazz influences. The whole soundtrack to this game oozes funk and jazz with what I may call a modern twist. If you happen to do more to this a few good ones are "Rivers in the Desert", "Beneath the Mask" and " Take over" are pretty solid.

Persona is a franchise pf mainly japanese rpg that are filled with banger songs throughout, main games are standalone (minus the persona 2 duology), and the persona 5 games has Shoji Meguro as the music composer and the singer is Lyn inaizumi

Nothing beats Persona 5, its pretty much the music of the decade couse u hear it everywhere online. Other great songs are Rivers in the Desert Last suprise, and their P5 Strikers remixes just to name a few.
