You are correct, it just drops the g to an f# on the bottom, to create a D chord with the 3rd on the bottom. But the weird little lick is just playing the 2nd and 3rd strings on the 22 fret, ( D), sliding them down an octave to the 10th fret,( D ) and then a single note of B on the 3rd string. I remember because I was playing my 61 LP and that's as high as I could go. Cheers Bobby Barth
