Rock of Ages Quarry Tour

As we take a short breather to wind down after The Grindstone, fly with us on this tour of one of the Rock of Ages quarries alongside the event's routes. With peak foliage glowing in the late afternoon sun and deep blue water covering mysteries of a past age below, this abandoned granite quarry is a beautiful example of how nature has reclaimed a piece of human industry and transformed it into something unique.

That's a lot of water, I can't believe I ever got to see the bottom of it. I remember when there was cable cranes where there and seeing equipment moving about on the bottom. People used to come from miles around to look over the side just to see how deep it was.
