We listened to this in my middle school friend’s bedroom with black light posters and incense burning. Great memories!

It's refreshing to hear someone with talent and charm sing live with just his natural voice without auto tune. I miss those days.

I was all of 9 years old old when this song was on the radio . The baby of 4 kids and the only girl Ibgrew up with 3 older brothers band they like myself Loved records and music so the radio was always on as Mom & Dad liked music as well . My brother’s all had their stereo’s and taste in music . This song got played a lot !! I got much of my likes in music through my big brother’s music and a lot of 80sc music my favorite !!

" Hello, housekeeping, we need a mop in the first row!" I'm thinking there was a lot of chairs that needed replacement after that performance. That song was in heavy rotation back in the day. Good tune. 👍

I loved this song when I was little. I've always wanted to be a photographer and I can't remember if I was four or five. But I had a cassette that would play this song three times in a row and I would always do photo shoots with my stuff, animals and my cats.😂

I love this, it is one of those one off type of songs that are kind of freaky deaky and come out of left field and blow your mind.

As Michael Keaton would explain so eloquently in “Night Shift” - hilarious movie by the way - “Let’s look at this word ‘Essex’ and break it down to its basic essence. First we have ‘es’ which means ‘it’ in German. Then we have ‘sex’ which means, well ‘sex’ in English. Putting it all together we have, ‘It sex’ or ‘It’s sexy’ perhaps. Now THAT would define this David Essex fellow. And yes he is sexy.”

I heard a live version of this with an actual band. They just could not capture Herbie Flowers' groove at all. We are far better off with the tape playback and live vocal. (:
