Thanks for tagging me Pat. I will do this one soon. Back in 2019, I had an operation. They gave me a prescription for a painkiller. When I picked it up, I was totally shocked that it was Oxycontin. I had heard so much about it, I figured they wouldn't be allowed anyone to prescribe it anymore. Fortunately, the pain wasn't bad, and I never took any.

Great responses to the tag. My favorite Dickens is Tale Of Two Cities, fell in love as a student. I love The Great Gatsby. Shakespeare wrote so much dark and disturbing stuff that would appeal to horror readers.

@@Nina_DP oh Nina! Have a wonderful trip to Italy! The plane ride to Ireland was brutal. An overnight flight that was jam packed and lots of people coughing and sneezing. I was really sick by Wednesday of the trip. Ugh. I hope you escape the cooties!

Ah, I’ve heard of Dopesick before. Reminds me sadly of Demon Copperhead, Pat. If you have not read Demon Copperhead, I highly suggest the book so you can compare it with the nonfiction, Dopesick.

Hi Nicole. Oh, I have definitely read Demon Copperhead, and I loved it. I think that was a book that I had pre-ordered before it was even published. Definitely think it deserved every award it won. This is a topic I am passionate about, and I have read widely in both fiction and non-fiction on this tragedy.
