I remember in the early 90s i was a duo with my brother singing in the clubs around northeast of england , And we were filling up with petrol at a services at about 1 in the morning and out from the petrol station walked bobby , he looked a lot smaller then a thought seeing him in person, and me being a fan from being a child i got starstruck and didnt have the nerve to speak to him and say hello. I wish i said something to him now and told him i was a fan. Rest in peace bobby lad.

Thankyou so much for posting this fantastic video! Bobby Ball was an absolute comedy genius! He was also a great actor, writer, musician and an all round superstar! Growing up I fondly remember watching Bobby on TV...and Tommy of course. Every week they were Saturday night prime time gold. It's so sad that he's not with us anymore...We have lost a phenomenal human being who entertained so many people for decades. He was one in a million and there will never be anyone else like him. Rest in peace Bobby, na night mate. You truly are missed very much...keep on rockin' up there ;-)

In 73/74 The Mrs came home from work at Osram Shaw Oldham with 2 tickets 50p each to see this act in a pub in aid of pat seed cancer charity fund. I went mad as we had no money. Tommy comes on saying his drummer hasn’t turned up Bobbys in the crowd saying I can play drums. It was jam packed and my face and stomach hurt with laughter We was struggling to breathe. I’ve never laughed like that since

This was both a sad and happy celebration of Bobby’s life. I watched one of Tommy and Bobby’s television shows a while back when it just popped up on YT, and since then I have watched whatever else is available on this platform. Cannon & Ball where consummate entertainers for sure, but the attraction I think, was Bobby. A superb entertainer and actor in his own rite, he was, in his own definition, ‘not a comedian, but a very funny man’. Here in Australia, we don’t get a lot of British news, so I was shocked when a clip popped up on YT announcing his passing. I have watched, and re-watched everything I can of Cannon & ball, and Bobby never disappoints, no matter how many times I see him and Tommy together. R.I.P Bobby, and I hope you know that you made a lot of people very happy when you were here to entertain us.

I went to see them live on stage in 1987/8(?) and they were just superb. Honestly, one of the best acts I've ever seen. The sheer energy they had right from the first few seconds, which built and built, and that in turn created an energy from the audience - which they fed off. They were just fantastic. One of those times when you're laughing so hard it genuinely hurts. It's a great memory. RIP Bobby. Love you Tommy. Thanks for all those laughs.

Those bits when they point out someone in the audience, I saw them live when I was a kid and they did that to me at one point. Something about Tommy said the audience didn't laugh at something Bobby said and he pointed at me on the front row and said "he did" a small but memorable moment.
