it may sound dumb but I KNOW the rock you first showed as a reference example! I's located in romania in a site with cool rock formations very high up in the mountain. I visited it two years ago. it's touristic because it looks like a face seen from the side.

I would 100% enroll in an art class if you were teaching it. Your pace while working and explaining things is a bit quicker, but I enjoy that. You don't necessarily get bogged down by details or side tracked very easily. Good work, man!

amazing tutorial for someone who's an absolute beginner like myself. thank you very much. I mean I get excited just by drawing a line that doesn't look like it's made by a 5yo kid, that's how clueless and unskilled I am in art. following this tutorial ( repeating it like 312 times for sure) I was able to produce something that me feel that I can actually paint eventually.

not sure what u mean. If you mean 'draw' as in paint then yes, it can be tricky. If you mean draw as in pencil it's piss easy. Just move your hand along the line as if you had mild shakes to give u easy randomized jagged edges and the same for inner contours/stripes/edges. Then use specular effect, stab an area repeatedly for some texture.

Sometimes is discouraging going into digital painting because of the work you see online. It's really hard to start from a white canvas. I know I might be asking for too much but could you make a video on how to start or what to do? Happy new year btw, and as always, thanks for the vids. Take care!

Hey! That's great to hear. I'm in a sort of different place, i've been a digital artist for a while now and I know Photoshop inside and out, I find the thing I get caught up on is perspective as well as being able to shade items properly. I also find that I'll make the shapes, then shade a little and it looks really plain and I dont know how to continue, if you could make some videos for those things it would help a lot, best tutorials so far by a long shot btw!

The first rock you presented is a famous ancient mountain peak called 'The Sphinx' from romanian Carpatian mountains. Is thought to be older the the pyramids of giza, some are saying is a neolitic carving, some are saying is a natural formation, but definivly was used in the very very ancient history, that place known in history as Dacia ( present Transylvania, in Romania)
