Ardy, thanks for teking us on this fishing trip competition, even if you only caught one piranha! Better luck next time….but most important, you all had fun! Anyhow it was very alarming to see at exactly 7:20 and soon after, two cases of irresponsible dangerous driving within relatively busy areas! I can imagine accident rates rising as more cars enter the traffic arena in Guyana! Good luck all!

I learnt, afterall, Lethem Madia is not very far and the place is in prestine conditions. Nice to see the interiors. There are lots of land space in which to build houses. Wow, this place is beautiful. Will visit. I went to KAIETUR falls 10 years ago and it was beautiful trip with chartered flight. Luckanani is a very sweet fish., Love the sunset views. Great. The fellow fishermen and women are very warm and gracious. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

The lush green vegetation, captured so well on the drone footage, is simply phenomenal!!! Great eco friendly environment and the locals are so friendly too!!! So nice to see the Lukanani (Peacock Bass) the sweetest "Sweet Water" fish. As a stamp collector, I have rare Guyanese stamps featuring the Lukanani & the Piranha!!! What can I say Denny, your videos & vlogs give us so much pleasure!! Big shout out to Static ( aka Fishman)!! Hope to hear some of your lyrics man!!!😅 Hurrah Denny & Team!!!🆒️

For the people who doesn't know about the Arawana fish , it's lateral line ( line that runs along the length of the body of the fish on the side ) is made with some type of reflective gel that reflects the moon light on a bright moon lit night

So I am sold! Official subscriber to your channel. You are pleasant, welcoming, uplifting, a bright light. You talk in a time that makes you want to listen and learn. You never bash any one. Thanks for YOU and your family. I now want to try "Hasa" 🥰. Question: why are there always a trench of water alongside the roads? And do you not scale Hasa's? (I'm Jamaican living in Brooklyn NY) love your channel and all you do🥰💯👍🏾🙏🏽
@ITSOURLIFEARD3 жыл бұрын
My opinion the trenches are there in order to drain the rain fall water off the roadways. ( not sure ). And for the hassar that’s how I learnt to cook it. I don’t think anyone cook it without the shell

Danny and fishing fans. I want to give you a little history on Rockstone, Essequibo River. This was a resort for the American & Canadians who were living and running the Bauxite Co at Linden (then Mckenzie City). They used to go there, camp on week ends and fly fish for the said Lukanani. Also would put their boats and do water ski in the river.There were four Aluminum buildings on the left of the landing and two on the right where the only big rebuilt Center now stands. These were all controlled by the Personnel of the Bauxite Co. and one had to get a pass to go there.These buildings had flush toilets and lights. To the right was a long logie with about five rooms where the locals who visited can stay for a small piece.Also there was a huge Ramp so the boats can slide down in the water.We used that in the 60's & 70's. It was a beautiful place then and still is now. Dream about it !!! Toolsie Persaud was at Anarika about five miles down stream and he had a very large Compound there - a school, grocery store and Dispensary for his workers and Villagers. Also used to upkeep the Road from Wismar to Rockstone and Anarika.with his bulldozers and front end loaders.Since he left things went down hill, but we still go fishing and hunting upstream where there are a few lakes - Tepuri, Arawini, Plantain Island and plane bank . As you go nearer to Plane Bank and look beyond the horizon one can see the blue mountain top above the trees with mist and fog around the plateau.What a bautiful scenery. The place is so serene that you can live there for the rest of your life.There is an old C 47 Cargo plane used by GAC in those days to fetch fuel in the Interior and this crash landed there after it dumped the fuel in the river and ran aground on a sand bank in the middle of the river. We used to camp in the hull of the old plane.It very cold at nights up there.Now the river is used by gold dredges and divers. This chases away the fish to higher ground but the fun is still there.

Mr Danny the next time you go up Rockstone, get that Amerindian man who knows about Plantain Island and Plane Bank Lake which is in the same area up stream. Only then will you enjoy the fishing for Lukanani, Arawana, Himara and Louw Louw. The Arawana and Piara/Biara will take the hook and fly out of the water. You will enjoy the colours of these two fishes when they do so. Catch a male Lukanani and you will see the hump on its head with beautiful colours. I used to go there when Toolsie was operating the Stone Quarry in the 60's thru the 80's. I along with friends enjoyed every minute of fishing there. You may know some of them Latchman who had a grocery on Sheriff Street. Deo Persaud from Lusignan and Sawdust from Enmore.These guys were fun to be with, just like you. I see you had fun but make it better by contacting one Brian Rajaram of Roberts Bush Hill, Soesdyke/linden H'way by the old GRL Building. He knows the Essequibo River well from Rockstone to Ciparuni Landing. He will make your time well spent, with no regrets!!! Go there in September/October when the water recedes off the land and sit on a Rock and pulls them in one by one.
