Really dig your channel. I got to meet Maria Elana and John Pickering of the Picks, that sang many backup vocals on early recordings. I was greatly privileged to cut a Honky Tonk record with the great James Burton. He told me a very cool funny story about Buddy. James is one of the kindest most down to earth people in the business. As you know, Buddy recorded all his hits in 18 months. If only he had lived what might have been. Thanks for your lessons, I know you love Buddy as much as I do. Maria thanked me for loving his music....

I love late 1950s rock and you are authentic with your sweater and let me guess POMADE!! And your telecaster looks and sounds sounds terrific. Buddy would be honored bonus points for including my country idol Johnny Cash good job.

Hi Randy. I’m saving up for that trip. I recently discovered your channel and honestly it is very inspiring. You have great taste in music. I try playing along to Buddy Holly but he played so fast. He was the real deal.
@ducktailcat6 жыл бұрын
Yes, he was fast with his downstrokes. It took me a while to get it up to speed as well

it almost sounds to me like the bass lines don`t quite match up in a spot or 2 with the rhythm guitar in the verses of the original recording - could be because of the simple bass lines over the quick chord changes - such a great tune and i love every bit of it

The intro riff which fired the 9 year-old me up to become a guitar player.
@lamper23 жыл бұрын
What chords are the intro actually parts of going down? i think the first is A then G then......?
@ducktailcat3 жыл бұрын
You can just play A until the end then change to E for a quick turnaround before the actual song starts.
@dashinggaspar80426 жыл бұрын
Really great lesson! I was wondering what the name of the first song you played on your record was?
