Blind, as in legally blind. Not total darkness. I'll explain, again, not wanting anyone to be ignorant, or misinformed. People have a misconception about blindness. Some people are blind from birth defects, some from injury or illness. Some have depth perception issues. Some from glaucoma. There is no "one" single type of blindness. Stevie Wonder can perceive shadows, and shades. He has even admitted to having favorite colors. When he was a child, he used to climb on roof tops to keep up with his siblings during play. People need to know and understand that Stevie Wonder's blindness is the result of a medical mishap, shortly after birth, when some babies placed in incubators suffered blindness as a result of too much oxygen in the machine causing scales to form on the surface of the eyes. How blind do people expect Stevie Wonder to be? He's still visually impaired. No one in his right mind is going to expend that much energy faking blindness for 70 years. Check it Out! Ciao!!!

@@lwmson And even then (in the best of faith), he is not traditionally blind, like how others would assume, not as if he never had the ability of sight to begin with. However, his sight is EXTREMELY impaired. That is, if I have this correct, he can see colors and light, but not the form of the world in front of him. It's like asking a person to describe what they see through 85% frosted glass.

Stevie Wonder is arguably the most talented musician on this planet! First there was Ray Charles then little Stevie came along. Initially Berry Gordy said Stevie could not sing - HOW DARE HE! Little Stevie Wonder had it all and still does.

@docktorb
@docktorb 4 жыл бұрын
To think, Berry almost let him leave Motown because he did not want to pay him, and he wanted him to keep playing 'the Motown Sounds. Stevie was 21, could sign his own contracts, and said he wanted to make his own music. Finally, Berry came to his senses, paid him, and allowed him to do things his way. And, as they say, the rest is history.
