The wordplay in this song is incredible. When you have smatterings like "From the RED Sea to GREENland they'll be singin' the BLUES," and "Her itinerary's loaded with moving violations," that shows impeccable command of the language and the word's inherent lyricism.

Yeah, this is a seriously good earworm, one of the best. The only one that tops this was trying to remember the lyrics off hand to the animated show if Grimms Fairy Tales. Drove me crazy til I looked it up and now it's plastered in my memory....along with David the Gnome (which happens to be playing as I type this out!!!) Tv will never be the same and I don't see the same value in it as I did then.

well also, those of us growing up on reruns of 80s shows were DOUSED in great theme songs. that was just a brief period of time when every TV show had to have something radio-ready for the theme, whether or not it was warranted or even appropriate for the show. Only once we grew up and found out what was made when did we realize how brief that was. now there's no theme songs at all, takes up too much commercial time (or gets tedious when binging)

This is one of the most addictive songs with how fun it is. I used to play the OG game on the Commadore 64, complete with the World Almanac, then got to watch the show and the cartoon. This game is the reason I always aced Geogrsphy and World History classes in school.

Forget Carmen San Diego, though I used the program and board game as part of my home school curriculum during the 1990's and 2000's. Rockapella are phenomenal. My daughter, then 9, and I heard them at the Troy Music Hall - one of the best acoustic venues in North America - and were totally enthralled with their vocal and performance abilities. I was quite a fan of the game show, "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego." I even played the game on the computer and busted her a few times. I never imagined that I would get the chance to see Rockapella in concert. I caught their show in Denison, Iowa when I was in Job Corps up there. They were AWESOME!! They even sang, "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego" for the audience in attendance that night. Never had a better time in my life. I just missed out on meeting the actress who played Mary Stone from, "The Donna Reed Show." I guess she was there, too. But, anyway... As a fan of Rockapella, I have just one thing left to say and that's...Do It, Rockapella!!
