Wow! I can't believe it! The pilot (F/O) on the radio of the Lufty Cargo MD11 is a very good friend of mine! I immediately recognized his voice when he read back the take-off clearance! I flew with him on the LH Cargo MD-11Fs more than 70 hours on the flightdeck's jumpseats! This is so cool, I will send him the video. Thanks a ton for sharing, beautiful filming too! :)

It is due to the positive caster angle of the nose gear. A positive caster angle tends to resist turning forces and returns easily to center, much like the front wheel of a motorcycle, as opposed to negative caster which turns with less resistance, like wheels on a shopping cart. The DC-10 and MD-11 has more positive caster than most aircraft nose gear. At full left or right tiller the nose wheel is far enough off the ground that you can actually remove and replace it without having to use a jack.

I love MD 11’s Basically a re named DC10, I’ve flown with Air New Zealand as a DC10 and with KLM MD11, they had a a bad reputation early on all the same a great looking powerful jet liner and still looks great for basically 50 year old design. One thing though, my car’s windscreen wipers are in sync, perhaps the MD 11 is showing it’s age

James Walsh no bro that's when you have a small quantity of freight usually done to ensure a smooth departure. Fedex and many other freigher airlines rempt to reach to the picking facilities for big quantity of freight as soon as possible

It's not necessary for the wipers to be in sync, and there is no mechanism built into them to make them that way.
