i think that the training packs are designed for progression rather than rank testing(they are called progression packs)so the mechanics may be ones from the rank above so you learn mechanics from the rank above to help you get to that rank. that would explain why none of the players got past their own rank;they just haven’t learned those mechanics or skills yet.

Maybe, but it could be that let we say someone deserves gold, he shouldn't yet be able to do platinum packs, what show that because of that reason he should indeed be gold in that case. But they also should be able to do everything under gold but not higher as gold itself.

i semi agree with you. Im c2 and I have way more control not air rolling but some people have used air roll since plat and they would feel uncomfortable not air rolling. It all depends on the player.

The gold pack is weird bc you wanna hit the ball at its peak but they are set up for gold players, so its much easier to stay on ground and hit the ball on the way down. Good training pack to go back to and practice catching and dribbling/bounce dribbling in half field tho

These tests of technical skills would kill me, I can play easily with a 50 win loss ratio in a C3 3's/2's lobby, but have such poor mechanics that I can get stuck in diamond 3 because I got no tricks and rely on teammates doing their parts (which gets worse the lower ranked I go...)

Bakkesmod scuffs training packs unless you turn off the stupid settings in the menu. It will make it mirror every time and I noticed that it will change how the ball starts sometimes

Well if its a training pack for GC it means its things that GC still has to learn to progress so it doesnt mean anything. Also training packs have fixed starting spot whereas in game you would position urself accordingly to the play so training packs are never reflection of skill.

It's way easier to demolish plats in 2s than it is to finish the plat-diamond training packs. It doesn't help that the pack puts you in weird positions that i wouldn't play in. Guess ill stick to freeplay

these packs dont have anything to do with skill level because if you let a gold player not play or see 1 match of rocket league for a month straight, but you let him do the gc training pack for a month. (give pointers if needed) he will get the pack done, but once dropped into a GC match he'll get obliterated. the only increase in difficulty in those packs is time to catch or hit the ball because of the clock. and theres a few balls in more difficult angles in the diamond pack than in the gc pack, but the gc pack simply has less time in it. might as well call it a catch-dribble pack, it doesnt test ur rank 1 bit.

People really are out here misunderstanding training packs. They are to train you, there for if you are gold then the gold training pack should be difficult for you, if you're plat then plat should be difficult for you, etc. Beating a pack doesn't mean you should be that rank it means you should be 1 rank higher, because if you are training something you can do that's not training that's practice.

I was gold and I was able to do this pack fairly decently but I done the daimond and higher ones and for me they were easier than the plat ones as I struggled a lot on them

I know why some plats are good at freestyles cause they get stuck in plat for years trust me I was a plat once it took me 1 year to get out 😢 now I’m a diamond 2! And I learned how to air dribble 🎉 and I can musty flick and the ground😊

The reason people get stuck in plat is because they focus on freestyling rather then learning helpful mechanics, you should subconsciously grow the ability to air dribble while ranking up, not get stuck in plat because you focus on learning airdribbles rather then rotation (high d3 peaked at high c1)

They got stuck on some of the shots but otherwise we’re doing okay. I suggest allowing for one free skip per pack but with the caveat that once they skip forward, that is their skip.
