They didn't say anything about smurfing, they were referring to the fact that nothing has been done about a very obvious exploit which forces your opponent to disconnect from the match. It's pretty pathetic with all of Epic's money, they can't spend anything on actually fixing this issue.

Educational Repost: How to deal with DDOSers: Don't let anyone score a single goal and go to OT with 0-0. They need a goal break to ddos the server, at least they used to. In OT you just score and win the game because they had no chance to mess with the server.

Speaking for a large majority of the player base, as players who are playing at their respected rank, we can’t do much against Smurfs and boosters who clearly have a massive skill gap advantage over us. It 1000% kills the game so bad

@@comical98 Those issues are exactly what made me quit ranked 1 year ago, i had been c3 for couple of seasons and every gc push was frustrated thanks to duo boosters and solid gc smurfing on epic accounts with stocktane design... especially towards the end of the seasons, the boosting is so blatant in duo's, thanks to infinity free accounts by epic and 0 smurfing policy/control i guess. Once they push the smurf too high, just go next, some even sell those said accounts with gc/ssl titles.

I had tried bugging Rizzo to host a 1v1 tourne called "Show ur Rizz" and it's pro's/content creators playing 1v1 using his wild controls. Sorta defeats the purpose of getting better but would be silly content potentially. Could also be an unwatchable nightmare.

I just got back into rocket league in the last 2-3 weeks. I've noticed I always struggle against people with high ping. THey're everywhere they need to be, blocking every shot. I'm by no means a good player, I'm plat 3 and I can't even air dribble or speed flip. But I can hit the ball pretty solid on aerials. I remember back in the days of old COD, you could almost always tell who a cheater was by the high ping they had. I've had matches that have been going fine, I get close to scoring a goal with the ball on their side and then I start having connection problems. Ball moves away from goal, connection problems go away. I didn't know the game was in such bad shape. Sucks.

I played a few games, and everyone was much higher rank than where I normally am in ones which was super annoying. Another guy told me to "use the gun" on myself when I beat him. It's grimm out there right now. 1s is a wasteland atm.

Do not score against a DDoSer. The method they use is to abuse a packet from the goal replay, that's why they let you score the first one. Take the game until overtime and score there.

I didn't know what ddosing was before now. I can clearly remember 2 games I played recently and there's was major (but brief) lag spikes that occured multiple times throughout the game; coincidentally, only when we were in offense though. I thought we just got unlucky but suspected foul play because of the consistency of lag spikes in offense. Whew! RL is just crawling with narcissists lately though 😓

1v1 show matches I would LOVE to see you play (best of 3 or 5+), especially with VC: Evample (the kbm goat) Flakes (the 1s goat) FranticCartoon (the chaos goat) Two things to make it even better: 1. Use your Steam Gardens (custom standard map on top of a building in an overgrown city) because it's beautiful and I miss it, and 2. Why havent they fixed this stuff yet? I went back onto Rocket League after being off for almost a year and they added cool things for private matches like the Lab maps and gamemodes but they really need to fix their online servers. It never used to be like this and they could easily get help by offering rewards for exposing issues like they used to. Yea there's no trading anymore, but you could at least give them a unique title or let them choose an item for free or something.

I feel like at this point it's amazing to me that there aren't just inherent countermeasures in place for this. We're at an age of technology and intelligence that I wonder how do we still have games where one person can artificially create an event not coded to the game that so consistently negatively affects the other parties? DDOS being a major issue, but also I think the 3rd biggest issue RL has right now. It feels like no one wants to play at the rank they deserve nowadays so the amount of smurfs has gotten to be ridiculous. Having a stat tracker that shows acc # games has put my games from C1 to C3 with smurfs in duos and trips at a ratio of 1:3 and I've had days where I go 5 games with smurf account players. A lot of them are terrible, yes, but many are also clearly 600+ mmr higher in skill but enjoy body bagging lower ranks, talking sh*t while doing it (which is just weak), and more often than not try to deny their flagrant actions. Sure it's not banned or disallowed but I'm tired of pretending it's not a problem. I'm sick of having to unfairly be set back in my rank because some people just want to feel big in an online game, where the average win rate is literally 50%

I mean, it's not really possible to "prevent DDOS from happening" - there are things you can do to try to make it harder to DDOS you (pretty much just increasing the amount of processing power the DDOSer requires), but it's not possible to stop it altogether. DDOSing is basically just sending too many requests to a server for the server to be able to process them all - the server obviously can't function if it isn't receiving requests, and it's impossible to handle an infinite amount of requests, so the only real question is how many requests it can handle before it starts to break down.

Video idea:when someone scores the game would go to a replay into a kickoff after, the time also pauses. Instead after someone scores the kickoff starts off instantly with no count down ,and there's no replay and the timer doesn't stop.the match would not have no breaks.i would call the game mode "no breaks"
