Does changing platform on Rocket League make you better? Time and time again you see the videos where a console player moves to PC and does magically better. The question is is this true? Watch as Grudgieson tries this experiment himself trying to see if playing on PC changes performance than playing on console!

First off, your video is super good quality. Second off, I play on Xbox mainly. Played on pc for the first time tonight and it was an insanely noticeable difference. I’m a season 14 GC and just got GC rewards for season 1 also. It literally made a huge difference bro.

@Gul'Dan the game was extremely smooth on PC for me. I have about 1100 hours in the game on Xbox and the first 2 hours were noticeably different. My car and ball control was way better. Having more frames meant I wasn’t over correcting in the air or on the ground when dribbling. All in all, just felt more responsive. I’m hoping to get a PC in the near future after feeling the difference.

I’ve been playing on PC for a while, but due to my laptop basically, dying I went back to Xbox and I noticed a dramatic affect on the control of the car it felt like I didn’t have any control over what my car was doing. When I joined pc I was bronze 3 and over 3 months I hit diamond 1 I was ranking up so fast and doing incredible until my laptop died and the FPS was at 10. Now after playing a year of Xbox rocket league on Xbox I’ve gone up to diamond 2 but I feel terrible and slow compared to pc.

Plat here. I've been playing on pc because it's the only option I have. But I've played on console with friends. I was shocked to find out that most pros prefer controller over m / k. I assume it's what they started on. Even in RLCS tournaments they're using controllers while using pc's for lan connection. The only downside imo of using a m / k is the fact that using the wasd layout takes some time getting used to. You have to be decisive with your jumps / flips because it's easier to make mistakes considering all of your mechanics involve that specific area of the keyboard.

I’m a GC1 on PS and when I switched over to PC after 4 years of PS... I felt way worse. I don’t know what it is, but my game sense and power hits were completely gone. My theory is that I have had to perfect a frame perfect hit on 60 fps for so long, that its actually easier than on 110+ fps. Yes on the ball I feel like I have more control in dribbling but thats absolutely everything. Think I just have to get acclimated. Good video anyway, subbed : )

Champ 1 on PS4 i am playing since 2019 I downloaded the game on 2016 but the real play was on 2019 I neither played on PC platform nor +100 frames 😂 so idk actually the experience I will get a PC soon 🙌

Im champ 3 currently (PC), played on my buddy's ps4 a lil bit ago. I don't know if it's just because of his ps4 being an older model but the input lag was about .1-.25 seconds from when I would tell the game to do something and it executing it. I was able to mess with some of his settings and increase the sensitivity and reduce the time a bit but the input lag was still very very bad on his console. It wasn't connection lag either. This was client-side Freeplay no online required type testing on my part. I could barely aerial and it was incredibly difficult to do small precise movements needed for dribbling and other mechanics. His controller was brand new as well, doing half-flips was also weird bc the game would kinda do it for you? so when I put the input in to actually for the half-flip it was fighting itself and would make me do a very slow or failed half-flip. Very strange experience. Ill stick to PC bc that was rough.

Yeah I've now noticed that as well when I play on my Xbox One every once and a while. Those last-gen consoles just aren't as responsive as a PC or next-gen console at that. The new console releases were definitely needed because the old ones were aging quickly. Also nice work on making it in Champ! Wish you the best of luck!

Pc is just better. Just the fact that you can play above 60hertz is enough to make it worth it. There’s also custom training packs and most importantly you get to use alpha boost with bakkas mod hehe.

Console is garbage. I tried free play on my Xbox one and there was literally a second delay on input, plus barely 30fps and the worst graphics I've ever seen. Then 400fps in 1440p on my pc lol
