This game is really getting hammered on bgg. Barely holding a 7 rating with many luck complaints.

Luck complaints?! That's kind of the point of the game! You are the rocket-launching team, and you can gamble or not as you desire. I mean, you don't have to like the game if it's not to your taste, but complaining about luck in it is like complaining about shuffling in Dominion. -WEM

@@boardgamegeek yes, but the majority of complaints seem to be it has way too much luck, which is surprising for a Wallace game. I was interested at first for the theme, but admit these reviews have turned me off it. Also, reports of people who were turned off the game completely by drawing too many zeroes in a row. Doesn’t seem to facilitate fun gameplay.

I got absolutely no idea if you liked this game or not. Was this your intention? Seem to be impossible to find a positive video review of this game, only overviews and rules explanations. Not a good sign. I guess this answers my questions about quality. If no one can even be bothered to say “I liked it!” in spite of making a long video about it, It must be bad. If I was making a video about a game, I’d be sure to give my opinion on it, unless I was legally obligated not to say anything.

@@shatnershairpiece • I generally don't focus on whether I like a game or not. I'm not you, so our tastes probably differ anyway. My intent is to describe what the game feels like and what I think the designer was trying to do. Ideally you can decide from that description whether you think the game would work for you. I've seen some folks complain that the game relies too much on luck and others say that the press-your-luck element is wonderfully thematic. Both views can be correct. -WEM

@@boardgamegeek I just watched another play through where the launch failed, needing only a '2'. This was painful to watch. The two people who were playing the game, didn't look like they were enjoying it either. I literally grimaced watching the fail, and then discarding all the cards they had put down. This seems to be the common complaint. I understand the theme of chance, but this is groan inducing pain. I was in pain watching and I'm not even playing the game. After seeing that, I now totally understand why it's getting hammered and even though they were doing a 'sponsored' video and could not say good or bad, their stunned reaction at that fail was clear, and I made up my mind at that precise moment. No sale.
