People are not able to understand the terminology of Rocketry, and they understood everything about Interstellar? It is laughable argument as people should become inquisitive and curious enough to learn a thing or two when they are going to or have watched a movie that's literally about rocket science. There are many million people who watch The Big Bang Theroy without understanding many of the science or nerd jokes. Still it went in for 10 seasons and successful enough to get it's own spinoff as Young Sheldon.
@ameynimbalkar8812 жыл бұрын
I don't think people understood everything about interstellar especially in India most people were just enjoying the visuals rather than understanding the science behind it hence it did not earn money in india

The comparison is not to say one was tough and the other was epic. The point was that Nolan spends a lot of time on exposition. On explaining those tough concepts through his characters. You guys think that what was presented in the film's first half was scientific jargon is so laughable. It actually defeats the whole purpose of the movie, really. If you have ever gone to a hospital to get an MRI or ultrasound you should be thankful to that scientific jargon. If you are using the internet (basically when your whole carrier is dependent on the internet) you should be thankful for that scientific jargon and the list goes on and on. I know these things are way above your RADAR so don't even try understanding. I bet must have cringed and irritated by the sound when they tested the liquid fuel in the french launch pad. That should have given you the goosebumps, not the false accusation scenes. You are more invested in the spy stuff than the science. I can also bet you have never looked into any of the major real names involved in the liquid or cryogenic fuel.

Love this combo! About the jargons and technicality, it actually botches up the storytelling not to include them. They could dumb it down like they successfully managed in Zero but at the end of the day, the people who would understand it after so much intellectual skimming don’t like that kind of movie. So you either be Nolan or be a Prabhu Deva. If you try to be both, you end up making a sci-fi rom-com anti-hero movie called Zero. (Sorry Shah Rukh, big fan ❤️)

It's rather unfortunate that so much sound is made about “ jargon” when a person uses scientific words in a movie showcasing a Scientist. We now have a country where body image, glitzy clothes, extravagant parties are normalized because it's shown as a lifestyle over and over again on big screens and small screens alike. I don't know how many people in India live in the huge homes shown, or how many actual Sangeets happen on a scale shown in the movies. Having said that, I am certain that these “ jargons” do make sense and there are still quiet a few people that can relate to this lifestyle. I think it's rather rude to marginalize and make it seem less fascinating because it's not painted in pink and wrapped in brocade. To claim a movie bad because it's not what you can relate to is not necessarily unbiased criticism. I love movies with all its glamor and grandeur, I love the glitz and at the same.time I think movies such as Rocketry have to be appreciated too. I follow FC and like AC’s interviews but have not really agreed with her reviews. But I am a nobody. Someone like AC, while reviewing a movie should certainly look beyond the techniques, it's hardly a review to come and say I didn't get it so I don't like it. This is why I love tried and Refused reviews, he is intelligent and unbiased, he says what the movie is about- and that's also why he is where he is today! More power to him and really hoping that his opinions don't get watered down

Clearly can see that Ghehariya gets appreciated despite its questionable output on performances, storyline, editing and direction. And you identify creatively all flaws in Nambi movie!! Its worst way of doing business. Least expected is doing it only for love of movie.. From trailor one can see that Brahmastra is just recreation of same storyline that one kid has unnoticed powers and grows to understand his purpose and gets it. This is no different than any English movie on good vs evil. So how is that an exciting one vs Nambi? I am keen on seeing how you find flaws in Brahmastra and waiting to see public views on it too!! Why is every critic complaining about "jargon" in the movie? how else does one depict the life of a rocket scientist? Without knowledge about the protagonist's achievements/contribution to the field how else is the audience supposed to root for a scientist whose whole life is thrown in to the dumpster? If you want to read about the life of Albert Einstein then its imperative that you will come across his theory of relativity, E=mc2 etc., but does every lay reader understand these concepts. If you want to read about the life of a Stephen Hawking, its imperative that you will come across string theory, blackholes etc., but does every lay reader understand these concepts. The simple answer is no. For a lay reader it should just suffice to know that the scientist's contribution to a certain theory, field of science etc was undeniable, that it helped the field of science to a certain degree. Its not necessary for everyone to understand the intricacies of a technology, but suffice to know that the theory, technology etc., was a major contribution/breakthrough which helped the country specifically or mankind in general or to know that it was dangerous depending on the context of the story. I personally feel that as a film critic grows in popularity the urge to nitpick becomes something of a obsession/compulsion to lend more "weight" to their criticism.
