@Trav dude Olajuwon owned Jordan and the Bulls and was in the Finals 6 years before Jordan. Olajuwon was 11-5 against Jordan for their first 9 seasons. And if you knew what you were talking about you would know the western conference was loaded with great teams while Jordan was in the weakest conference with multiple all stars just to make the Finals in the east. This is the first year Olajuwon had his championship roster but he was already 4-1 against these 3 peat Bulls. Oh, and nobody played better than Olajuwon in the playoffs.

@@armandodelossantos736 Yeah, the West was stacked. Especially Seattle. The Sonics pretty much owned the Rockets. The Rockets could beat any other Western Conference team in a series. But they matched up horribly with the Sonics. They were the Rockets' Kryptonite. It was so frustrating to watch. It pains me, but if the Rockets would've had to play Seattle in '94 & '95 we wouldn't have those 2 Chips. It wasn't till Barkley got there that we bested Seattle in series. But then, we no longer had a favorable match up vs the Jazz. The West was a juggernaut!

As a Bulls fan you have to give this Rockets team/era major credit in how they seemed to always keep an edge over Chicago. When you consider they swept the series in 92-93, it feels very plausible that they would've bested the Bulls in a hypothetical Finals encounter. That said, something I think many don't factor in, this regular season Bulls squad was probably the worst incarnation of the first 3-peat for several reasons, but in the Playoffs they became a _completely_ different squad. The very best of the Bulls in the first 3-peat would've been '91 Playoffs and '92 regular season, but '93 playoffs they were about as awake, hungry, and resourceful as any team ever, and upset league favorites New York and Phoenix after easily sweeping the first two rounds. It would've been something else to see those boys compete with Houston!

Losing Maxwell and Thorpe was huge. Maxwell should have never left and would have been one heck of a 6th man with Drexler. Losing the muscle with Thorpe was big. Had Rockets taken a chance on Rodman and kept Maxwell along with the rest of the chemistry of 94-95.... they would have been very hard to beat in 96-97. Delusional. The 1995 bulls might have stood no chance, the 1994 Bulls would have been the most talented team of the 90s outside of the 1997 bulls.

@@scottb3034 Delusional??? they lost to the Magic the Rockets swept the Magic if they couldn’t beat the Magic how are they standing a chance against Houston also couldn’t stop Shaq then there was no way to stop Hakeem I would go back and watch Rockets vs Bulls games from the early 90s Houston was going to win both of those Championships no matter what the Bulls were every good but Houston was the top team in 94 and 95 Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon were the two best players of that era and they should get the respect they deserve the 1996 Bulls were one of the if not one of the best teams ever but not in 94 or 95
@scottb3034
@scottb3034 Жыл бұрын
@@fun-vids6669 I said the 1995 bulls might have stood no chance. Saying the 1994 Bulls without Jordan would have been lucky to win a gave is delusional. The 1994 Bulls should have probably beaten the Knicks in 6...the same Knicks that had Houston on the ropes in 6 and choked game 6 and 7 away. If John Starks wasn't 2-17 the knicks probably still somehow take game 7 AT THE SUMMIT. Want to know the season series of the two teams in 1994 and 95? 2-2. The Bulls played houston just fine (i don't know who would have had homecourt in 1995 with identical records but the Bulls took care of homecourt vs houston so who knows what happens in 1995 if the bulls got 4 home games). The Rockets contrary to your belief were not a great team either year. They were Hakeem and a bunch of streaky, average players in 1994 benefiting from Jordan's retirement and in 1995 they were Hakeem playing better in a playoff run than anyone not named MJ in history with Clyde helping here and there...mixed with the sheer luck that Barkley got ill before game 1 and then followed that up with a debilitating injury the final 2 games of that series (where KJ was actually the best player in that series). The Rockets were a one player team and then a 2 player team....Horry, Smith, Herrera, Chilcutt, Brown and Maxwell weren't anything above average....even Cassell really wasn't. The Bulls in 1994 would have had the talent advantage in 3 spots (PG, SF and PF) and the Rockets would have had it in 2 (C and SG)...but the Bulls had a better bench with Kukoc and Kerr among others. The Bulls would have EASILY won more than a game in the series...in fact I would not be surprised if they pulled it out in game 6 or 7, especially since Kukoc was the type of player Houston traditionally struggled with during that time period. But the delusional part is mostly how bad you think both those teams would fare to houston when empirical evidence suggested otherwise. Oh and 1994 Bulls had enough talent that if Jordan was on that team it would have been better than 1996 and arguably 1997 in terms of talent.

Hypothetical matchup in 1994 Bulls wouldve had homecourt in finals most likely winning 70 games so it wouldve been interesting but Jordan at age 31 in his prime would prevail in 6 games with the addition of Kukoc, Kerr to roster and Pippen and Horace Grant playing at elite level.

This Rockets team was different from the rest of the league because they relied more on team ball to properly set up the offense rather than a PG. They were similar to the Knicks, only with better spacing/shooting and were faster at switching because they had more athletic frontcourt players compared to the Knicks. The Sonics were their toughest matchup and even they needed 2 bad calls to go against the Rockets late in G7 to get by them. The team with Drexler there was probably more beatable because their frontline was smaller without Thorpe and Herrera the Suns were up 3-1 on them and the Sonics also beat that version of the team in only 4 games.

I would have to disagree with your comment, the Sonics had their number after the 1992-93 season, I think they won like 15 straight, including that 1996 semi-finals which was a sweep. But this 1992-1993 squad was a better squad than the Sonics, that year, they did lose the season series, how ever, the first two games of the season were against the Sonics in Tokyo, and then you have the blown call in San Antonio the last game of the year which decided home court advantage against the Sonics, also, those ref played a pivotal role in game 7 of that semi. This Rockets team had championship written on it but the NBA wanted to impose their will.
