I'm used to running equipment a bit bigger and I'm impressed by how much work your tractor will do. For some of the jobs you do a larger machine wouldn't work due to tight quarters. An excellent review btw!

100% on the skid steer quick attach! JD NEEDS to switch! I bought my Kubota MX5400 because I wanted the standard quick attach. I love my MX5400!

Thanks Brock, I have the 2032R a 2021 model and it is at 535 hrs. I sometimes feel I would like something a little bigger, but like you I abuse my tractor and have broke a few things on it.But it has never let me down. I really enjoy your channel. Thanks again.

Wow, while I was watching your "Flail Mower" post yesterday I was wondering when you might do another extended use review on the 2038......and WA -LA!!!! Great minds think alike. Awesome update review Brock!👍👍👍 I have 2 years and 300+ hrs on my 3320 and while it's a tad bit heavier duty, you're right the series isn't that big of an increase in lifting and operating weights where they overlap. I don't have all those add on's but I do really enjoy running my tractor and I have not ever had it stuck, I was very close a couple times but did get out. I have the bigger wheels vs the 2 series, loaded with beat juice, and that makes a huge difference I think, can't imagine a compact tractor without loaded rear tires at minimum. These are extremely capable machines when run by operators who know the limits and how to stay safely just below them.

You've certainly got the seat time to give a thorough review! I feel like I know your tractor pretty well after these years of videos!

Good Morning Brock! That’s quite a bit of hours in a short amount of time. Great job on documenting most of it.

I have been told by so many folk to buy a J D tractor. My neighbour has a 50 hp etc. He has helped me a number of times on my property.

Glad to know you are still happy with it after all the use and abuse. I just have a little over 50 hours on mine now, and have had no issues so far. Thanks for doing all the reviews -- you were one of the main sources of my product research!

I just watched your earlier review video the other day. Still fairly positive, but it seems like the honey moon is over. I got an rk 37 this summer and it compares pretty closely to the 2038r, but it has a larger frame, factory cab, and comes in cheaper. Whenever you do these videos, I feel better about the purchase. It has telescoping draft arms and the pinned sway adjustment, and a lot of other goodies. Mine has AC and factory cab with radio and bluetooth. However, JD definitely wins on ergonomics and support/products. The manual is probably much clearer too and easy to find info. I definitely wouldn't say it is a clear decision, but I feel good about my choice.

After owning a 2015 2032R, I traded up to 2022 4052M. I wanted a HD 4052M but the 5+ month wait time was not an timely option. It would have came with the extendable draft arms and SSQA loader. That would have required an adapter plate for my JDQA loader attachments. This bigger tractor is great for bigger jobs and worth every dime over a 3 series

Pretty thorough evaluation on your 2038R. Not really serious yet but when I am will be going back and forth between the JD/MF/Kubota crowd or the 'everything else' crowd lol. If my need was for business or a lot of heavy duty use it would be a no-brainer. But I'm not... just maybe 100hr/yr farm/land upkeep. Makes the RKs and LSs of the world a lot more appealing. Thanks for sharing Brock 🤠

I’ve got 21 acres and I have a Kubota L3301 with a box blade, fel, backhoe & rotary cutter and it’s been magic in helping me in every aspect of turning the place into a home. I did consider what I’d be doing before I purchased it a few years ago. My options for the same model hp were 25, 33 and 39 and I think I made the right choice. I think a 30+hp tractor with fel and hoe is a good starting point… I wouldn’t want to go less than 30hp.

I feel that no matter what somebody does there will never be a perfect tractor for everyone the 2038r I have I've never had any issues with it I have 250 hours on mine I just wish when I had bought mine there was more available options for add-ons and them not be as much as they are great video brock lots of very good points of View I really wish the msl was available when I purchased my tractor the extra $600 would have been absolutely a no brainer for the upgrade.

Excellent video!, your experience with your tractor has sure made a believer outta me! Your hours are hard and continuous use and you do not baby the machine.. I’ve been impressed by they way your JD is performing…. It is pretty clear that you’ve out grown your tractors capabilities and need to step into a 50-60hp size machine. I agree on the SSQA standard but only for tractors 60HP and below. Larger tractors and AG sized machines should have EURO-GLOBAL with a SSQA option. And that’s it. Love your channel and say keep up the great content. Yours is the best channel out there! 👍👍

Awesome video Mr Brock all good to know it’s only Green for me. 2038 is my favorite and good size for what it can do. The pedals are perfect and how all the attachments go on and off.

Love the videos. The bigger machines are affordable if you don’t have to get all the bells and whistles, most of which are useless to me. The current deere dealers in Texas have all the small “r” series for more than I paid for my brand new 5075e 4x4 with cab. My thought is I’d rather have a lower package f350, then a fully loaded ranger.

I like the idea of having the 2038, but I'm always concerned I will be undersized and need to upgrade down the way. IDK
@peterkoster50532 жыл бұрын
I believe the 4 series you can factory order with a ssqa... otherwise deere does sell an adapter if you want it. I do think the jdqa is better then the ssqa. Also if you have a kubota track loader and a little bx compact you probably don't want to share attachments anyways because the heavy duty track loader pallet forks would be way heavier built and take up half of a bx lift capacity. It makes sense if you had a bx and maybe a bobcat s70 or a stand on unit that both have lighter attachments.

I have always thought that for what you do the 3039R would be what you should have gotten. It checks off almost all of your negatives of the 2R series tractor like tire size, 3rd function.

Good job talking tractor and not putting down anyone's tractor. Mine are rust colored and dust covered but mostly cooperate and cover my needs. You should come over and look at my tractors sometime. I have one that has a primitive hydraulic self leveling bucket.

If you could go back to the dealership with your 650 hours under your belt with this 2038 would you pick a different Tractor or stay with this one?
@tyrrellroach5872 Жыл бұрын
On the skid steer Kwik attach thing I think your wrong. Have you looked at how flimsy they make the buckets on tractors like bobcat, mahinda and others they are significantly thinner buckets abundant the bucket is the one thing that is bound to be abused

Awesome video very informative! How would you compare the 260b backhoe on the 1025r vs the 2038r backhoe? Is it worth the $11,800?

I'm considering a b2601 or a 2038r JD. My local dealer does not have any LX model kubotas. Said it's not a good enough seller. Anyway, I will be using this tractor to make money and also mow my lawn. I only have an acre to cut so 54" mower on the B2601 is plenty large. I'll be getting backhoe as well. My question is have you operated both of these and is the 2038r worth paying 8k more to get?
@RockhillfarmYT7 ай бұрын
I don’t know much about the 2601 besides looking at them on dealer lots Actually listed my 2038 for sale yesterday. Posted a whole video talking about why I’m selling it and how much I want for it

Can’t imagine how long it takes to add all those clips to a video like this. Gotta be hours of your busy day or night. I have a 3038E with some homemade attachments and some heavy stuff that it barely lifts. I have 1000 pound rock crusher that I grab with a grapple and drop on rocks to break them. Similar to videos you posted about rocks in your pasture you can’t hardly dig up. I live in the Nowata Oklahoma area if you ever wanted to get ur feelings hurt by my economy tractor lol. I think you are a couple hours from me…

instead of making bigger machines more affordable with smaller engines they need to be making smaller machines with bigger engines, also more affordable. next step up in the 2 family linup should be a 2046 = 46hp tractor. and in the 3 family a 3070 = 70hp. i see no reason with todays tech why something cant be made smaller, albeit heavy, with a ton of power. heck there should be a 2066r = 66hp tractor at least lol
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
I like the way you think. The reason there is a popularity of the larger 25 hp machines is some people want to avoid regen which means staying under 25 2nd. If you’re on a tight budget it can feel like you’re getting a large machine without spending much money and a lot of people are on a tight budget.
