I love all the Steve Porcaro interviews. Toto as a whole has always seemed to down to earth. Luke for sure. But Steve is the guy I'd love to sit down and have coffee with some time. Just seems so real and normal.

That’s one of my favorites. I love the atmosphere it creates and the ‘it’s a feeling’ vibe. Fahrenheit as a whole is just a fantastic album.

I got hooked into Toto when I was first listening to Lea on the radio. I was 12 back then. I always love accoustic sound. Lea for me is a simple yet sounds rich song. Then my big brother bought Fahrenheit cassette, and when Till the End start to playing the intro I was like, "Wow! Dang! They're sound amazing!!!" Now, they're my second favorite band after The Beatles.

Fahrenheit album was the first Toto album I bought. The feel of it was staggering. The energy too. It was effortless and free from sorrows. This was a great story. God bless Steve P. Been a fan of his for a LONG time.

Perhaps in these times we could be having a tape of that 'loop' session for Lea. Great song by one of the biggest bands... And the best drummer, Jeff Porcaro.

John, Thank you for the interviews with the Toto guys. I've had a few opportunities to talk to them years ago after shows. They're good guys. Humble, funny and beyond talented. Here's hoping we see some type of music from them in the future as Toto or whatever they want to call themselves. I think they should use their High School band name "Still Life" (shortened from "Rural Still Life"). Oh, and I hope you get your David Paich interview as well. Hope you and the family are well. David

Great video John. Good advice too. I'm nobody, but I have famous friends. I tell my other friends dont embarrass yourself and dont embarrass them(the celebrity). Celebrities are people too, they want to be treated with respect but not with craziness I'm the form of love and adoration.

Lea was already a great song, but then when Don Henley was one of the background singers it became even greater. I always thought that Don agreed to do it as a way to return a favor to Steve Porcaro for Steve's fantastic work on "Boys of Summer", but I don't know for sure...

Jeff was absolutely right in hating drum-machines, click-tracks and so on, because he got the groove and was just better than this shit.

A great story I heard from Scotty Page mind you, was the Madonna "Cherish" song story. Jeff was hired by Madonna's producer to come in for that song and program the Synclavier for them, shuffle style groove. Jeff just looked at Madonna, told her he had his drums set up for a Crosby Stills and Nash session down the hall.."why don't we just bring the 2 & 1/2 " reel down there and I cut the tune with acoustic drums? That will save time and money." And that is what happened, Jeff got the tune in one take and Madonna loved him and used him when he was available from then on out.

@@drumr72 Wow, great story, thanks a lot. 👍🤝😉 Love Jeff's playing on "Cherish". ❤ Still remember listening to this song without knowing it's Jeff, but it was so obvious. 😉

hi guys, i'de like to hear from any of the toto members about the song love has the power. to me that's another of what i like to call my toto nuggets, for me the nuggets are their greatest works and my favorites. i've heard luke talk about jean michael byron once and how he was the record company's choice as a member and i gather from that that luke and maybe a few others did'nt like him but i think they did a fantastic job with him as lead singer and wish they would've done a complete album with him. would any of toto like to talk about him?

When the album "Past to Present" came out, I also was sorry because of only three new songs. But listening to the live-performances with Jean-Michel shows, that the chemistry between Toto and the carricature of Michael Jackson just didn't work. His problems with intonation also give evidence, that he was not a real professionell singer, even in his studio-work. To be honest I am even surprised, that they started touring with him.
