I am always flabbergasted when I look at "best guitarists" lists that avoid mentioning Terry Kath. How dare they!!! I have been watching Leonid and Friends videos for quite sometimes and am very impressed by their Chicago covers. The musicianship is excellent.

I agree 💯 that Terry is an underrated guitarist!! When Hendrix says that Terry is better than him, that should awaken these so-called experts!!

We all have our own favorites and rankings. I pay no attention to those lists, and Kath's omission from so many of them tells me they are not worth viewing. Most of them are there just to get views and clicks anyway. Terry Kath's work speaks for itself.

I'm a huge fan of Leonid and friends, they played also with Serge Tiagnyriadno, from the Ukraine, fantastic voice in the combination with the band!

Although the current band composition is just great, I miss the members that have moved on, Serge and Sergey, for example.

Totally agree, Leonid and friends do incredible renditions, their covers have generated more excitement in me than any other music in recent memory. It takes real talent to pull off the quality of music that they do, I am really hoping to catch them in concert in the near future. Also hoping Serge can rejoin them soon, his vocals are amazing. Otherwise, Vintage Chicago and Terry Kath still amaze me to this day!

I think the term ' monstering' the guitar comes from watching Terry Kath. Leonid has a great ear, his transcriptions are perfect. And an incredible band he has created. Shame the stupid war lost the band such a great vocalist.

If you haven’t seen it, watch Searching for Terry, it’s an incredible and heartwarming documentary by his daughter, Michelle with contributions from many luminaries who respected him. He should have left Chicago after X and gotten away from the hangers on who were bad influences. Still sad to this day. A great “What if?”.

I've really missed some of the musical artists that left so soon - Terry Kath and Karen Carpenter, just to name two. They would have been 78 and 74 respectively today. However, they'll never age in our memories and we'll always see them, in our minds, at the peak of their abilities. They've left a voulmne of work that we can still enjoy whenever we need to hear great talent.

Although Chicago had many hits throughout the 80s, the bands creative peak ended with Kath's death and the release of Hot Steets. The cover art said it all...

What songs does the female sing? I don't believe there was a female in the band...... doesn't seem like they could be 100% authentic like that...... or does she just do the Carpenters songs?

She is an excellent singer. She does a cover of a Chaka Khan song. Ksenia harmonies are spot on and she looks like a supermodel.

Depends on what you mean by authentic. Check out L&F's Chicago songs where she sings part of the harmonies and also a few where she has the lead. I think you'll find she blends well. And if you have the chance, check out her background. A truly interesting and talented person.
